Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: Returning to the Native World

Nuclear fusion was undoubtedly the most efficient form of resource utilization achievable by current human civilization. Yet even so, humanity could only apply it to weapons of war, such as hydrogen bombs.

However, both Schicksal and Anti-Entropy had developed Honkai energy fission bombs during their research on Honkai energy. Through chain reactions of Honkai energy, these weapons were extremely effective against Honkai-side organisms.

Because once the chain reaction began, it couldn't stop until the raw material was exhausted so if it hit directly, organisms like Honkai beasts or Herrschers would themselves become fuel for the chain reaction, amplifying the damage.

To date, this weapon had three recorded combat uses.

The first was when Otto launched one to kill Joyce. The second was when Old Yang fired one at Sirin. Both attacks proved highly effective against Honkai-side beings.

As for the third it was Otto launching one with Decimation to give Siegfried a middle part in Siberia right after he had just emerged from Honkai eruption. Though it didn't kill Siegfried.

Looking at the finally restored Seed of Sumeru, Su felt mentally exhausted. He had thought that once Shun got Cosmic Juggernaut and tested its abilities, he'd play around with things like spatial slashes. If Shun could reach high-level abilities like Infinite Corridor in the future, that would already be impressive.

He never expected Shun's wild imagination to completely disregard conventions. With powerful computational support, he directly micro-manipulated microscopic matter to create an artificial nuclear explosion.

Was it really fitting that he and Vill-V got along so well? Birds of a feather, indeed.

At this moment, Shun was resting his cheek on his hand, summarizing the pros and cons of that move. The advantage was obvious: immense power. The one he just threw was already five times more powerful than the one dropped on Hiroshima.

But the disadvantages were numerous. Aside from raw power, everything else was a drawback. For example, fully executing this move required far too much preparation, and there wasn't really any space on Earth for him to fully unleash it.

Saying "Earth" was still too urbanized. But Shun couldn't just say "I don't eat beef." Though he was also a Paradox grand strategist, reality wasn't an 8+ coloring game.

In summary, this move really had no practical space to shine unless the current civilization had already reached GG like the Previous Era's Twelfth Honkai. But if that happened, using this against Finality?

You must be dreaming.

However... if he detonated without fully releasing if he used only the core of nuclear fusion's explosion, reaching temperatures of hundreds of millions of degrees at its extreme...

"Su, let's discuss one more thing..." Thinking that once he left, it would be hard to find such a perfect experimental site as Seed of Sumeru again he might as well make full use of it.

Several black lines immediately appeared on Su's forehead. With a wave of his hand, he used his authority as master of the bubble world to "politely" eject Shun from this world.

"Hey, wait! Su..." Before he could finish the sentence, Shun felt a powerful push and was forcibly thrown out without resistance.

"Brother..." Seele looked stunned as Shun suddenly vanished. For a moment, she didn't know what had happened.

For Shun her friend Su could be blunt and say nothing, roughly tossing him out without issue.

For Seele, Su was naturally much more courteous.

"Seele, Shun has already left Seed of Sumeru. Next, I'll send you to Shun's location as well. Please prepare yourself first."

Su's polite attitude left Seele somewhat flattered. Though she didn't know Su's identity, since even someone as amazing as big brother Shun respected Su and Kevin so highly, Seele felt they must be incredibly powerful at least far more so than Mama Cocolia and big sister Bronya.

Cocolia and Bronya: "So love really can disappear, huh."

Seele nodded and said, "Okay, I'm ready." What came next was definitely returning to big brother's side as soon as possible and living with him.

After being ejected from Seed of Sumeru by Su, Shun almost immediately tried to go back in. Unfortunately, when it came to manipulating bubble worlds, this fifty-thousand-year-old geezer Su was clearly far more skilled than a twenty-year-old youngster like him.

After several failed attempts to access it, Shun gave up on re-entering Seed of Sumeru and observed his surroundings.

A quiet little alley with few people. It seemed Su didn't want to drop him straight into a bustling downtown area. Though Seele was still with him, she should be arriving soon.

Sure enough, right after thinking of Seele, she appeared. Shun looked up Seele suddenly materialized five meters in the air.

With a leap, he caught the falling Seele and landed steadily. These moves would have been impossible for Shun a month ago, but now they were basic operations.

Though she suddenly appeared mid-air, Seele felt no fear. The moment the falling sensation began, she felt a warm embrace catch her.

Opening her eyes sure enough, it was Shun. Both feet touched the ground. This was likely the first time in a long while that Seele had stepped onto the soil of the native world again.

Only now realizing she had finally come home, bean-sized tears couldn't help but roll down Seele's cheeks.

So... she was home. After surviving alone for so long in that hellish place called the Sea of Quanta, finally stepping onto this familiar yet unfamiliar land, Seele felt an overwhelming sense of nostalgia.

"You've worked hard, Seele. Welcome home." Shun comforted her from the side. Having once gotten lost as a child and spent a long time outside before finding his way back, Shun deeply understood Seele's current feelings.

Hearing Shun's words, Seele suddenly buried herself in his arms again, sobbing softly. At times like this, having someone by your side was what allowed you to cry like this.

Shun couldn't help but pat Seele's back, comforting her: "There, there. I won't leave Seele. I promise."

It took quite a while before Seele truly calmed herself. During that time, Shun also checked their current location.

Sure enough, it was London in the United Kingdom. But the first thing he needed to do next was contact Gray Serpent. He still remembered disappearing right in front of Misteln. Now that he was back, he should at least report that he was safe so she wouldn't keep worrying.

...After successfully contacting Gray Serpent, he was told that Misteln had already set out alone to search for Shun's whereabouts, so even Gray Serpent temporarily couldn't locate her.

Shun didn't impulsively go searching. Finding one person among Earth's seven billion? What was he thinking? Did he think he was the male lead in a rom-com? Better to trust Gray Serpent's intelligence network.

"Let's go, Seele." Calling over Seele who was squatting by the roadside counting clovers Shun walked out of the alley.

"Oh, okay." Seele jogged a few steps, linked arms with Shun, and headed outside together.

"Brother, where are we going?" Though Seele would follow Shun anywhere now, it was still good to ask.

"Hm... I do have a destination, but it's not particularly urgent. Is there anywhere Seele wants to go see? London is one of the biggest cities in the world."

If he really had to name destinations, all that remained for Shun were Taixu Mountain and Nagazora City. Nothing much to worry about on the immortal side until Kiana entered St. Freya Academy. And on Mei's side, nothing to worry about until Raiden Ryoma went to prison.

"Mm..." If there was anywhere she wanted to go, it would definitely be the orphanage. But Seele was a considerate and good child who wouldn't cause trouble for others, so she shook her head, indicating no place in particular.

"Sigh, Seele, you're just too good. Come on, let's go buy some clothes. A girl can't go without a full wardrobe."

"Let's go buy some clothes first." With that, Shun took Seele's hand and headed toward London's largest department store Harrods.
