Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: The Capabilities of Cosmic Juggernaut

After Shun's spirit connected to Cosmic Juggernaut, the massive body of the locomotive slowly began to move. The front split open from the middle, extending a barrel with a diameter of fully one meter aimed directly at Shun.

The barrel glowed with yellow light as if charging up. Su frowned and pulled Shun and Seele behind him. Since it was a sudden situation, this was the best hasty response he could manage.

"Causality Reversal." Su raised a green barrier that enveloped the three of them this was, under certain circumstances, a heaven-defying defense capable of reversing the law of causality.

It seemed he had to take back his earlier words. The backdoor Vill-V left behind really was something no one could detect even after Su had thoroughly examined it for fifty thousand years. As expected of Big V Teacher with a 10000% participation rate even in death, she's still carrying.

The barrel's energy charge had reached a terrifying level. There was no doubt that if this shot hit London outside, it might cause the world's largest financial city to evaporate.

Perhaps it could only be seen in some corner of the Imaginary space or the Sea of Quanta.

"It's coming." Sensing the energy fluctuation, Su gave a useless warning.

"Bang!" With a terrifying energy surge, Cosmic Juggernaut's barrel fired a cluster of fireworks? It collided with Su's barrier.

"..." An utterly dead silence fell over the scene. Clearly, everyone was stunned by this completely unexpected turn.

Then, from the direction of Cosmic Juggernaut, came Vill-V's voice which, from a modern perspective, sounded extremely punchable.

"Surprise! Are you surprised? Are you astonished? This magic show, performed with all my heart by the greatest great magician of the century, Vill-V my lovely audience, has your jaw already dropped to the floor? Also, don't think I just fired fireworks earlier. In truth, Cosmic Juggernaut does have weapon functions too..."

"Su... did you know about this?" Shun silently glanced at Su.

Su retracted the barrier and responded awkwardly, "Obviously, I didn't know. Or rather, only Vill-V herself can discover her own backdoors?"

"In fact, Cosmic Juggernaut has been modified and upgraded many times, but no one has ever found Vill-V's backdoor." Su added.

For example, the original Cosmic Juggernaut was equipped only with an ordinary supercomputer. Although its computational power reached an absurd level thanks to spatial abilities, it was later replaced with a more advanced quantum computer using superior algorithms. Now, this locomotive's computing power surpassed the sum of all computers in this world. This was the most crucial hardware allowing Su to observe worlds as numerous as the Ganges sands otherwise, even with superhuman thought speed, Su couldn't keep up.

"Then I guess the other Divine Keys probably have the same issue." Shun had no doubt about Vill-V's capacity for mischief. When she had something up her sleeve, she really went all out.

"Because when I joined Fire Moth, Vill-V had already been banned from developing Divine Keys, so I only heard some rumors." Su thought for a moment and said.

"For example, after the Fourth Divine Key was launched and began orbiting Earth, every time it passed over Vill-V's hometown, she would control the weather to draw a giant portrait of Vill-V's face in the clouds."

"Cool. Why don't I see that now?"

"Because after Fire Moth launched Vill-V into space, they made her dismantle it."

"Then with Vill-V's personality, she probably secretly added a ton more personal touches."

"Indeed. But since those personal additions didn't affect the Fourth Divine Key's functionality and weren't as flashy as before, they just let it slide."

"Like writing a bug that can still run on its own?" Shun felt that Big V Teacher was truly a girl full of surprises he really hadn't heard these rumors before.

"Unfortunately, the later Divine Keys weren't designed by Vill-V. What a shame." Shun said with regret.

Su gave him a surprised look. In his heart: Do you even know that Vill-V was able to make so many Divine Keys only because someone was colluding with her? That someone using the Fourth Divine Key to launch space fireworks to pick up girls you really don't know?

Still, Vill-V's Divine Keys truly outclassed Mei's in both function and creativity from a tech-girl perspective. But unfortunately, what Fire Moth needed back then wasn't versatile tools but powerful weapons. Otherwise, with Vill-V's creativity, who knows what kind of crazy stuff she could have come up with.

"Alright, since the Divine Key is fine now, Shun, go ahead and try out Cosmic Juggernaut's functions." Su pulled the increasingly off-topic conversation back.

"Ah, okay." Reminded by Su, now that he had this new toy, Shun lost interest in chatting about Vill-V-related topics.

With a thought, he recalled Cosmic Juggernaut into the Imaginary space. To use its functions, there was no need to bring it out physically.

Feeling Cosmic Juggernaut's immense computing power and various formulas and algorithms far beyond the era, Shun thought that using it to do advanced mathematics would be incredibly satisfying.

Unfortunately, he no longer had to do advanced math problems anymore... a bit of a shame. In this moment, Shun felt as if he had become an omniscient deity and this was only with a very small portion of Cosmic Juggernaut's computing power unlocked.

Because he wasn't a mental-type MANTIS like Su, he couldn't withstand such vast amounts of information. Even Su couldn't utilize its full computing power.

Shun estimated that only meme-based lifeforms like little Herrscher could possibly handle such enormous data. But judging from little Herrscher being overwhelmed and driven mad by Fu Hua's fifty-thousand-year memories, if she linked up, she'd probably stop thinking altogether.

Hey! I have an idea. What's the principle of nuclear fusion again? It seems like hydrogen nuclei combine into heavier nuclei, right? And then release massive amounts of energy.

With a mischievous grin, Shun looked toward Su. "Su, Cosmic Juggernaut can interfere with the microscopic world quite easily too, right?"

Su suddenly had a bad premonition. Even after fifty thousand years, he still remembered: whenever Shun showed this kind of smile, something bad was about to happen.

"Yes. What are you planning?" Su was already prepared to unleash Causality Reversal at the slightest sign of trouble.

"Nothing much." Shun reached forward, using spatial restraint to capture 1 kg of hydrogen from the water. Then he silently added over a dozen Imaginary barriers to envelop them.

This wasn't him being cowardly just being extra cautious. Because what he was about to cause would be a little... loud.

The artificial bubble world of Seed of Sumeru wasn't very large, so Shun could only do his best to teleport that 1 kg of hydrogen to the edge of the Seed of Sumeru.

"Master Su, how good is your barrier at blocking light?" Shun asked again, turning back as if still worried.

"Uh... decent enough." Su's bad premonition grew even stronger. So what exactly was Shun planning to do?

If it were Mei, she might have guessed. But Su was just a medical student.

"Then... begin." Shun snapped his fingers...

"Art is an explosion!"

Suddenly, the sky was illuminated by a blinding light, followed by a deafening roar. A massive mushroom cloud rose into the air, spreading outward. The ground shook violently, as if the entire world were about to tear apart. Dust and smoke filled the air, making it almost impossible to breathe. Fierce flames burned everything into ashes.

Enormous waves like towering city walls surged toward the central lake island at terrifying speed.

But all of this was blocked outside by countless Imaginary barriers and Su's Causality Reversal. The spot where the three stood remained perfectly stable though the small bubble world of Seed of Sumeru was now in utter ruins.

Several black lines appeared on Su's face. Shun had basically demolished his home... Fortunately, Su was the master of this bubble world. After the distant nuclear explosion's commotion subsided...

Su silently activated Causality Reversal. Everything in the bubble world except perhaps the three of them rewound like a reverse button had been pressed, returning to its original state.

"Very good use of ability. Don't do it again next time."
