CHAPTER 65 THE THREE KEYS
"Get the light back on, Marcus, just get the damn light back on," I scream, my boots slamming blindly into the iron barrel in the pitch black of the junction box.
A match scratches against the brick wall, a small yellow flame illuminating Ariana's face. Her lower lip is still tucked under her teeth, her fingers shaking as she holds the burning wood close to her chest.
"The light is gone, Ari," Ariana says, her voice trembling despite her attempt to sound tough. "The whole sector just dropped off the grid. I can hear the factory sirens blowing by the harbor bypass."
"That's not normal," Luca mutters under his breath, glancing toward the tunnel entrance.
