The drive back was quiet.
Lucy sat close to him, her thoughts still tangled in everything that had happened.
She stole a glance at Adrian.
He looked calm, like nothing had happened, but there was something in his eyes that felt heavier.
"…Adrian," she called softly.
"Hm."
"I didn't know I could act like that."
He didn't look at her immediately.
"You handled it," he said.
That was all.
But the way he said it made her heart beat faster.
She didn't understand why.
When they got home, the staff greeted them and left quickly.
Lucy turned, about to go to her room.
Adrian caught her wrist.
"Where are you going?"
"My room," she said softly.
He looked at her for a second.
Then gently pulled her back.
"Stay."
Her heart skipped.
She didn't argue.
He led her to his room.
The door closed behind them.
The room was quiet.
Too quiet.
Lucy stood there, unsure, her fingers slightly tightening together.
Adrian turned to her slowly.
His eyes didn't leave her face.
He stepped closer.
One step.
Then another.
Lucy felt it.
That shift.
That tension.
"Adrian…" she said quietly.
He didn't answer.
His hand came up, slowly, resting against her waist.
Pulling her closer.
Her breath caught.
He leaned in.
Not rushing.
Not forcing.
Their lips touched.
Soft.
Slow.
Lucy froze at first.
Then slowly… she responded.
Her hands moved, resting lightly on his chest.
Feeling his warmth.
The kiss deepened.
Adrian's hand slid slightly, holding her closer, not letting any space stay between them.
Lucy felt something she had never felt before.
Something warm.
Something dangerous.
His lips moved from hers.
Down slowly.
To her jaw.
Then to her neck.
Lucy gasped softly.
Her fingers tightened against him.
The feeling spread through her body.
Hot.
Unfamiliar.
"Adrian…" she whispered.
He didn't stop.
His lips moved slowly against her neck again.
More intentional this time.
Lucy's head tilted slightly on its own.
Giving him more access.
Her fingers moved to his shirt.
Without thinking—
She pulled it.
Adrian noticed.
But he didn't stop her.
If anything—
He moved closer.
Lucy felt her control slipping.
Her breathing uneven.
Her body reacting in ways she didn't understand.
"Don't stop…" she whispered softly.
Adrian paused for just a second.
"It's my first time…" she added, her voice barely above a whisper.
"I like it…"
That made him stop.
Not fully.
Just enough to look at her.
His eyes searched her face.
"You've never felt this before?" he asked quietly.
Lucy shook her head, her cheeks flushed, her eyes avoiding his.
Something dark and satisfied passed through his expression.
Then he kissed her again.
Deeper this time.
His hand moved, pulling her closer as he guided her backward.
Step by step.
Until her legs touched the bed.
Lucy felt it but didn't pull away.
Adrian didn't rush.
He let the moment breathe.
Let her feel everything.
Then gently
He lowered her onto the bed.
Lucy's heart was racing.
Her eyes on him.
He leaned over her slowly.
His hand brushing her hair away from her face.
"Look at you," he said softly.
Lucy's breath caught.
"You don't even know what you're doing to me," he added.
Her fingers moved again.
Grabbing onto his shirt.
Pulling him closer.
That was enough.
He kissed her again.
Slow.
Deep.
Lucy responded immediately this time.
No hesitation.
Her hands held onto him tighter.
Her body reacting without thinking.
His lips moved back to her neck.
Lingering there.
Lucy closed her eyes, completely lost in the feeling.
"Adrian…" she breathed.
He didn't stop.
She didn't want him to.
Everything felt warmer.
Closer.
Too close.
Lucy's hands stayed on his shirt for a moment, fingers slightly trembling as she looked up at him.
Adrian didn't move away.
He just watched her.
Waiting.
Not rushing her.
That silence made her bolder.
Slowly, she pulled him closer again, her lips meeting his in a softer, deeper kiss than before.
It wasn't hurried. It wasn't forced.
It felt like she was learning him.
Adrian's hand moved to her waist, steadying her as she leaned into him more, her breath unsteady against his lips.
For a second, she pulled back just enough to look at him, her eyes searching his face like she was trying to understand what was happening to her.
"I don't know what this is…" she whispered.
His voice dropped lower. "You don't have to."
That was all it took for her to close the distance again.
And this time, she didn't hesitate.
Adrian exhaled slowly, like he was holding himself back, his grip tightening slightly at her waist as if reminding himself to stay in control.
But she wasn't making it easy.
Not anymore.
Not tonight.
Then…
A knock.
Adrian froze.
Another knock.
"Sir…"
His jaw tightened.
"Damn it," he muttered under his breath.
Lucy's eyes opened slowly.
Reality came rushing back.
Her face turned red instantly.
She pulled the bedsheet quickly, covering herself, turning slightly away.
Adrian looked at her.
And for a second
He smiled.
Then he stood up and walked to the door.
He opened it.
The chef stood there.
"What do you want?" Adrian asked, his voice low.
"Sir… the food is ready."
Adrian stared at him.
Silence.
"So you disturbed me… for food?" he said slowly.
The chef bowed immediately. "I'm sorry, sir, I thought—"
Adrian didn't let him finish.
He shut the door in frustration.
Inside the room
Lucy was still on the bed.
Covered.
Too shy to even look at him.
Adrian stood there for a moment.
Then turned back to her.
And smiled quietly.
