The night in Seoul had gone quiet again…
…but not peaceful.
The street where the battle had just ended still carried traces of burned pavement and cracked ground. The air smelled of smoke and something darker—something unnatural.
Kang Jae-Min stood still, his sharp eyes scanning the shadows.
"He's gone…"
His voice was calm, but his body remained tense.
Kim Ara crossed her arms, her red eyes slowly fading back to normal.
"No jae min." she said quietly.
"He didn't run… he left on purpose."
Lee Min-Joon sat on the ground, breathing heavily.
"I hate enemies that talk too much and disappear as they like, that's not fair."
He looked up at the others.
"But what did he mean by 'this is only the beginning'? cuz I don't understand."
Silence followed.
Then—
Seo Yuna stepped forward slowly, her expression more serious than ever.
"It means…"
She looked at the sky above the city.
"…we've just entered the war with the real leader of the monsters."
Far away from them…
High above the city…
On top of a tall building—
A shadowy figure stood silently, watching.
His long silver hair moved with the cold night wind.
His glowing purple eyes looked down at the city like a predator watching its prey.
"The four have united… this is getting interesting."
His voice was calm… but filled with authority.
Behind him, two cloaked figures appeared and knelt.
"My lord," one of them said.
"The servant failed."
The man smiled faintly.
"Failed?"
He shook his head slowly.
"No… he completed his purpose."
The second servant looked confused.
"My lord? sorry I don't understand."
The man raised his hand.
Dark energy gathered around his fingers.
"They needed to awaken."
"To realize the scale of what they are facing."
He turned his glowing eyes toward the distance.
"And now they have."
He paused.
"Prepare the next move."
"Yes, my lord."
As the servants disappeared into shadows—
The man whispered softly,
"Let the Shadow Covenant rise."
"Few more days to start my mission."
Morning After the Storm
The next morning…
Everything looked normal again at Haneul High School.
Students laughed.
Teachers taught.
Life moved on like nothing had happened.
But for the four students—
Nothing was normal anymore.
Min-Joon rested his head on his desk.
"I didn't sleep."
Ara glanced at him.
"You never sleep."
Min-Joon sighed.
"This time it's serious I just don't know why I can't sleep."
Jae-Min sat quietly, staring at his phone.
His wolf instincts hadn't calmed down since last night.
Yuna, sitting beside Min-Joon, opened her magical book again.
Min-Joon turned slightly toward her.
"U always carry that thing around like it's your best friend."
Yuna replied without looking at him,
"It's more useful than u min Joon."
Ara smirked.
Jae-Min almost smiled.
Min-Joon placed his hand on his chest dramatically.
"That hurt. Yuna."
After school, the four of them gathered again—this time on the rooftop.
The wind was stronger today.
The city stretched endlessly before them.
Yuna stepped forward.
"There's something you all need to understand about this monsters."
Ara narrowed her eyes.
"Go on. we are hearing u."
Yuna took a deep breath.
"The Shadow Covenant isn't just a group."
"It's a network."
Jae-Min frowned.
"You mean… they're everywhere?"
Yuna nodded.
"Yes. jae min."
"In this city only… there are likely dozens of them."
Min-Joon froze.
"DOZENS?!"
Ara looked serious now.
"And the one we fought was just a servant…"
Yuna continued,
"They are ranks according to their power."
"Servants…"
"Elites…"
"And above them…"
She paused.
"The leaders."
Jae-Min's voice dropped.
"And the one watching us…"
"…is probably one of those leaders."
Yuna didn't deny it.Then A New Threat Appears
Suddenly—
Jae-Min's head snapped toward the distance.
"…Something's wrong."
Ara immediately became alert.
"I can feel it too."
A strange wave of dark energy passed through the air.
Min-Joon stood up.
"Don't tell me another one as already—"
BOOOOOOM!!!
A loud explosion echoed from somewhere in the city.
Smoke rose into the sky.
People began screaming in the distance.
Yuna's eyes widened slightly.
"That's not a servant…"
Jae-Min clenched his fists.
"It's stronger."
Ara looked toward the smoke.
"They're attacking in broad daylight now? this is unbelievable."
Min-Joon swallowed.
"Okay… I officially hate this city."
Without hesitation—
Jae-Min jumped onto the rooftop edge.
"We're going."
Ara followed.
"Obviously."
Yuna closed her book.
"I'll support u guys from behind."
Min-Joon cracked his knuckles.
"Time to burn something again."
Then he paused.
"…Wait, I mean the enemy. Just the enemy. only the enemy nothing more."
Ara shook her head.
"You're hopeless,min Joon."
They all jumped down from the rooftop—
Rushing toward the source of the explosion.
For the first time—
They weren't reacting to danger…
They were running toward it.
As they moved through the streets—
People were running in fear.
Cars were abandoned.
The sky itself seemed darker above that area.
When they finally arrived—
They stopped.
A large part of the street was destroyed.
And standing in the middle of it…
Was a figure surrounded by dense, swirling darkness.
But this one felt different.
Stronger.
More terrifying.
The figure slowly lifted its head.
Glowing purple eyes locked onto them.
"…So you're the ones that is trying to stop my Lord mission."
Min-Joon whispered,
"I don't like the way he said that let me burn his head off."
Then he rise is both hands and flame started coming out of his hand.
Yuna's voice was low.
"That's not a servant… Min Joon."
"WHAT."
Ara's eyes turned red again.
"…That's an elite."
Jae-Min stepped forward.
His eyes glowing gold, his claw come out and his fang also."
"Then we don't hold back."
The dark figure smiled.
"That's great boy."
"Because neither will I hold back."
Dark energy exploded outward—
Far stronger than anything they had faced before.
The ground cracked.
The air trembled.
And in that moment—
They realized something terrifying.
The servant from last night…
Was nothing compared to this elite.
