[Sacrificable Gold-Tier Item Detected: The Casket of Ancient Winters!]
[An artifact worshiped for generations by the Frost Giant race. The power contained within is capable of thoroughly freezing an entire planet!]
[Sacrificing will yield Sacrifice Points: 50,000! Proceed with sacrifice?]
Another whole 50,000 in sacrifice points.
The corners of Peter's mouth upturned frantically. This trip to New Mexico was truly a massive profit!
On the other side, Loki, who had been knocked to the ground by Thor, watched the Casket of Ancient Winters bizarrely vanish out of thin air. For a moment, his entire being went completely bad:
"No—!"
He wasn't feeling pity for the Casket of Ancient Winters; rather, he was looking up at the sky in sheer terror.
The crowd instinctively raised their heads along with him. They saw that the originally clear sky had, at some unknown point, been blanketed by a mass of rolling dark clouds. At the center of the cloud layers, a massive vortex was frantically rotating, tearing through the firmament!
Those weren't clouds, but berserk spatial energy. The center of the vortex was a pitch-black cavity whose bottom couldn't be seen. Within that pitch-black cavity, dots of seven-colored light could faintly be seen quietly circulating.
"That's... the energy of the Bifrost?!" Thor's voice was actually trembling. "Why would it..."
"I activated its destruction mode!" Loki slumped on the ground, the color entirely drained from his face. Whether his expression was a cry or a laugh could no longer be distinguished; only pure despair remained. "I used the Casket of Ancient Winters to freeze the conduit.
I originally planned to return to Asgard by relying on the conduit after freezing you all. By then, the fully accumulated energy would precisely be able to thoroughly obliterate this planet along with you!"
"What did you say?!" Thor yanked him up in one go. Under the surging of his divine power, lightning flashed explosively within his eyes. "Where is Heimdall? Hurry and have him open the Bifrost!"
"It's useless!" Loki was choked by him to the point of nearly suffocating, yet a hoarse laughter transmitted out from his throat.
"He was also frozen in ice by me! No one can stop it! Three minutes! At most three minutes! We, and this planet... everything will be thoroughly annihilated!"
"Fuck!" Thor's eyes looked ready to split open, a punch smashing a web-like fissure into the ground.
Peter was even more thoroughly dumbfounded on the spot. He absolutely hadn't expected that his action of sacrificing the Frost Casket would instead activate another super nuclear bomb.
What kind of fucking situation is this!
"What should we do now?" Even Hogun, who was always renowned for being calm and wise among the Warriors Three, completely panicked.
The Bifrost couldn't be opened, and Gungnir was still charging the Bifrost. This was completely a dead end!
Thor looked at the frantic Loki; he truly wanted to smash this fellow to death with a single hammer strike. But considering this was his brother who had accompanied him since childhood while growing up, he ultimately couldn't bring his hand down.
In the end, he could only look toward Peter as if treating a dead horse as a living horse doctor:
"Midgardian warrior, do you have a method to defuse this crisis?"
Peter was directly angered into a laugh by these words:
"You're asking me? I don't even fucking know where Asgard is!"
Hearing this, the scene fell into an even more chaotic mess. The Warriors Three chirped and chattered as they berated Loki, and the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents were also as anxious as ants on a hot pan due to this sudden crisis.
"All of you, shut up!"
Peter's head grew big from their noise, and he couldn't help but issue a berating shout:
"Noisy shouting cannot solve the problem; it will only make you die faster."
After the crowd fell completely silent, only then did he force himself to calm down, his brain operating at a rapid speed. A brief moment later, he finally thought of a method that wasn't quite a method. Although it might not necessarily be in time, he had to give it a try regardless!
Thinking in this manner, Peter took a deep breath, subsequently activating all the modes he could activate.
Lightning Release Armor, Dual-God Resonance, Shave!
All of his acceleration abilities were entirely stacked together by him, causing his speed at this time to be nearly comparable to Quicksilver.
After raising his speed to the absolute fastest, he looked toward his system interface, confirming that Black Widow's avatar was impressively listed.
"Natasha, stay right here and don't wander around."
"I need to bring someone over immediately!"
After completing all of this, he activated the Spider-Bracelet on his wrist. The multiversal transport portal instantaneously opened. Peter also rushed into that transport portal amid a succession of crackling afterimages.
The crowd only felt their eyes blur. In the next split second, Peter and the transport portal had simultaneously vanished without a trace, as if all of that previously was merely their hallucination.
Within a mere blink of an eye, Peter appeared inside the Spider-Society.
He didn't have the time to greet anyone, rapidly rushing like a streak of flowing light toward the Spider-Society's control console. Under the matchlessly shocked gazes of a crowd of little spiders, he activated the transport portal leading to Superior Spider-Man's universe.
The exact split second he completed the crossover, he once again transformed into a streak of flowing light, heading straight for Avengers Tower.
Inside the training room, Thor—whose injuries had only just healed not long ago—was conducting rehabilitation exercises. The exact instant he saw Peter rush in, he subconsciously stepped back half a step in fright, the hammer in his hand flickering with thunder-light:
"It's you? What have you come to do again?!"
"No time for catching up!" Peter grabbed his wrist in one go, his speaking speed exceptionally fast as he opened his mouth.
"The Loki on my side activated the Bifrost's destruction program. There are still three minutes before Earth is thoroughly destroyed by the Bifrost! I need the Heimdall from your side to take a trip with me, right now, immediately!"
Although Thor had previously been abused quite tragically by Peter, he had already heard the retellings of the other Avengers and had laid down his grudge against Peter. Now, hearing Peter mention his brother who was already dead in this universe, his expression was matchlessly complex.
However, he also understood clearly that there was no time for mourning right now. Therefore, without any hesitation, he shouted loudly toward the sky:
"Heimdall! Did you hear all of that? Open the Bifrost immediately!"
BOOM!
A seven-colored light pillar descended from the sky, instantly engulfing Peter and Thor. Before long, Peter discovered himself situated within a magnificent, palatial golden hall. Inside the Golden Palace, Heimdall—draped in golden armor and holding a giant sword—was long since waiting here.
Those eyes of his, which were sufficient to insightfully perceive all things, looked at Peter, a strand of approval leaking from his eyes:
"Midgardian warrior of another universe, you truly ought to rejoice that the Asgard of our side is currently stationed right above Earth. Otherwise, wanting to see me would not be this fast."
"Cut the crap!"
Peter simply lacked the mood to talk crap with the opponent. He merely grabbed Heimdall's arm, subsequently activating Stand United.
That's right, this was the solitary method Peter thought of that could save the Earth: borrowing a Heimdall from another universe! Heimdall was bestowed with the duty of guarding the Bifrost by Odin.
Therefore, he was the solitary existence in the entire universe who, even if not in Asgard, could remotely open the Bifrost as long as he could still move!
In the universe where Peter was located, less than a minute remained before the destruction beam descended. The vortex in the sky had already enveloped the entirety of New Mexico; the destructive seven-colored energy was visibly apparent even to ordinary people!
Right when everyone was plunging into despair due to Peter's prolonged failure to return, in the very next split second, a purple glow abruptly lit up over Natasha's body!
Within the glow, two silhouettes slowly condensed before Black Widow. It was precisely Peter, as well as...
"Heimdall?!"
The exact split second they saw that black man clad in golden armor beside Peter, Thor and the others simultaneously dropped their jaws in sheer shock!
