Chapter 84
GEORGIA'S POV
It felt as though a thunderstorm was raging in my chest, my heart hammering against my ribs.
"Pregnant? What a load of garbage. Are you actually expecting, Georgia? Is there a baby bump we should be looking for?" Rheia asked. I looked at her, and suddenly, the realization washed over me like a cooling wave.
"No. No baby bump. I'm not pregnant," I said. It was the truth—technically. I had never been more relieved to deliver a line with such sweet, steady conviction.
"Nikolaj?" Alpha Reston barked, seeking confirmation.
"You heard the lady," Nikolaj replied, leaning back with effortless cool.
"I'll take a test right now if you want. A pregnancy test," I added immediately, doubling down.
"She's never even looked nauseous around me," Rheia pointed out helpfully.
"I haven't seen her have a single bout of morning sickness," Michael chipped in.
