Chapter 44 - Chapter 44 : The Blade That Learns

The air between them stilled.

Not from peace.

From focus.

Aditya Varma stepped forward again.

No hesitation.

No wasted motion.

The ground beneath him did not crack.

The sky above him did not tremble.

Everything aligned,

with him.

The Commander Watches

"…so this is your answer."

The commander's voice remained calm.

But his stance,

changed.

Subtly.

Prepared.

Aditya moved.

Faster than before.

But not because he increased speed;

he removed delay.

The blade cut forward.

No distortion.

No resistance.

Only result.

The commander reacted,

but too late.

The strike reached him.

Clean.

A deeper cut across his side.

For the first time,

he stepped back.

Not forced.

Necessary.

"…you've stopped fighting the world."

A pause.

"…and started moving with it."

Aditya said nothing.

Because that was exactly it.

Another step.

Another strike.

Each movement,

perfectly placed.

No excess.

No waste.

The commander blocked,

but now,

he was reacting.

Not controlling.

Aditya's attacks grew sharper.

More refined.

Each one pushing deeper.

Each one closer.

He stopped.

Completely.

And then,

something changed.

The space around him,

locked.

Not resisting;

fixing itself.

Absolute.

His presence deepened.

Not expanding;

condensing.

"…you've reached the threshold."

His voice was quieter now.

"…then I won't hold back either."

His form did not change dramatically.

No monstrous shape.

No explosion of power.

But everything around him,

stopped moving.

The air.

The space.

The distance.

All of it,

fixed.

Unchangeable.

Aditya stepped forward,

and the world did not respond.

For the first time,

it ignored him.

"…you've removed influence entirely."

The commander nodded.

"I exist outside alteration."

Aditya raised the blade.

The weapon pulsed,

stronger than before.

The golden light dimmed again.

Further.

Until it was almost,

black.

Not darkness.

Absence of interference.

The space around the blade,

did not align.

Did not bend.

It ceased to exist.

Aditya's eyes sharpened.

"…you remove influence."

A pause.

"…I remove everything in the way."

He moved.

The blade cut forward,

through the fixed space.

Through the absolute zone.

For the first time,

the commander's domain cracked.

A single line.

But enough.

His eyes narrowed.

"…so that's your answer."

The Collision

They clashed again,

not as opposites,

as absolutes.

One that cannot be changed.

One that removes all that exists.

The sky above the kingdom fractured once more.

Not from destruction,

but from something far more dangerous.

Two existences,

that had begun to surpass the rules of the world itself.

And in that collision,

the question was no longer who was stronger.

But whose truth,

would remain.
