As the group was traveling up the staircase, there was a strange sensation within the air, like as if something shifted. It felt like the lightning tree, passive energy emitting into the environment, causing their hair to raise.
"I'm not going crazy right?" Fex commented, taking a step back, and whispered, "What if that's the ancient vampire?"
"How could it be a sleeping vampire?" Erin shot back, "Neither of us have been on this planet before."
"I think you should listen to Fex," The system hesitantly said, "I was thinking it was impossible as well, but there's a possibility. You see, the moment the Likmorn beast escaped from our grasp, it didn't run into the city, but inside of the tower. I can't say for certain, but that beast might've been given a command to wake up its master if a dangerous threat arrives."
The system continued, "At the time, I was thinking that the beast was simply wild, that's what the quest message implied, so I didn't consider it was tamed."
