Cia and Peter ran for their lives out towards one of the exits of the underground town. Right as they were about to enter one of the tunnels, a grotesque looking dog stepped out behind a large rock, and snapped its uncanny jaw towards them.
"Eeek!" Cia squeaked out, and instinctively threw a spirit spear.
It landed, and Peter quickly formed a crude earth staff, and smacked it into the monster. It flew to the side, and they ran past it.
They chose one of the tunnels at random, just hoping to be out of harm's way. Peter turned around to see if there were any more beasts following them, when he tripped on the uneven ground.
"Ack!"
Cia turned around, and lifted him up to his feet, but before they could run again, a bright light blinded them.
"AAAAA! We're going to die!" Cia yelled, squinting her eyes.
"Oh my, there's kids here!" a woman's voice said.
