It was a 10/10 act!
Carpet rubbed his tassels against his edges as though sighing tiredly and massaging his temples.
"Don't scare her away, Genie. Is it a her?" Aladdin asked, feeling doubtful.
Although Carpet didn't have a gender since it wasn't an organic lifeform, he still recognised himself as a "bro," which was the same as a man, so Aladdin was a little curious about how to address the green carpet.
Carpet nodded with his edges as though he had made the correct judgment.
"How is that possible?" Aladdin asked. "You know what, forget it." He waved his right hand, no longer having any interest in such a conversation.
For all he knew, they might address themselves as they were addressed by others in the initial stage, like a baby imprinting on its environment and reflecting it back. There were a lot of crazy things he hadn't yet figured out after all.
"I knew it!! You laairr! I'll never forgive you. HHiieeee!!" The jealous woman Genie took out a handkerchief and wiped her eyes as she turned around and fled into the other hallway.
Genie emerged immediately after, arriving before them within seconds.
"Did anyone see that crazy woman running into the hallway? Some people don't really know how to handle their emotions," he said, turning to look at the green carpet in surprise as though seeing it for the first time.
"Oh wow! Carpet brought over a friend," Genie said in surprise, the moment he saw the green carpet.
"My… my… my… talk about catching the carpet by its tassels." He turned to Aladdin and Jasmine with his hand covering his mouth and whispered.
He turned back to the green carpet and said, "How are you doing? It's a pleasure to meet you." He shook its tassels gently.
Carpet's edges hunched lower, sighing as though tired.
However, the green carpet shook his hand as well. Her body shook as though she was laughing.
"We're running late. Let's go to the imperial magic court library," Genie said, looking at the watch that had appeared on his right hand.
Carpet nodded and soared downwards, scooping Aladdin and Jasmine off their feet.
The green carpet arrived before Carpet.
"I don't want to be disrespectful. Can I?" Genie asked, looking at Carpet and the green carpet.
They both nodded in response.
"Ouuu… yoowwww!! Let's gooo!" Genie hopped on the green carpet and shouted.
"Where did she come from?" Aladdin asked, glancing at Genie, curious as they soared through the hallway.
"As it turns out, your empire has ties with the legendary sorcerer and carpet weaver Khuriya," Genie said. He leaned in and whispered, "He is the creator of all magic carpets. One thousand years ago, he created a hundred of them and scattered them across the deserts to find a master to serve. Carpet got stuck in the Cave of Wonders on his journey, and that was how we met and became buddies."
"The empire was lucky enough to obtain five of these magic carpets, and they were acquired by the royal family. Unfortunately, one had accompanied the royal family on their journey out of the palace and was destroyed in battle. So they're kind of siblings. Anybody thinking that they're a couple is crazy."
He gave insight into the previous joke he was trying to tell.
He pulled back, cleared his throat and continued, "Ahem! The empire invited Grand Khuriya to become a part of the magic court of Ababwa as a high-ranking figure, but he refused because he didn't want to be tied down by governance or politics."
Aladdin nodded. He guessed that Genie had probably found a loophole in the wish to pull out the magic carpets because of Carpet, so he had already calculated that all of this was going to happen.
In a way, it was really terrifying to have someone like Genie as an enemy. Fortunately, he could not kill and had other rules which he needed to abide by, as well as possessing various weaknesses that could weaken or reseal him.
"Does that mean that there are still other magic carpets out there?" Jasmine asked, her expression brightening up in excitement.
"Of course, but it's hard to say if there are any at this moment who still haven't found a master," Genie responded.
"If you need one, I can give you one of the five as a wedding gift," Aladdin said, holding her hand.
"I'll be expecting it soon, then," Jasmine replied cheerfully.
Carpet suddenly pointed at the green carpet with his tassels.
"Carpet's wondering if you can have her be the gift," Genie asked, pointing at the green carpet.
The edges of the green carpet nodded as well, as though agreeing with his words.
"It's final then. I will have the green magic flying carpet be the main wedding gift," Aladdin said.
"Alrigghhtt… That settles it. Look who's finally become part of the family," Genie said, clapping his hands together.
A sound of applause emerged from around them.
They quickly exited the palace courtyard and entered another courtyard.
They soon arrived at a large building resembling a small palace, but with a distinct architecture, with two humanoid statues of a man and a woman holding a staff in their hands at the entrance of the door.
Two individuals, dressed in blue flowing cloaks, covering their heads, each with a staff in their right hand and a sword strapped to their waist, stood at the entrance of the door.
The moment they spotted Aladdin and recognised him, they quickly went forward to welcome him, having already been informed about the strange events that were unfolding within the Empire.
"We're the magic court disciples. It's a pleasure to meet you, Prince Aladdin Ababwa and Princess Jasmine," the magic court disciples introduced themselves and greeted.
"Please follow us," they said.
They didn't need to be informed about the reason for the royal bloodline and his bride's arrival at the imperial magic court library, because everything was in the possession of the royal family and, as such, rightfully his.
