Chapter 48 - CHAPTER 48

c48 – Overlooking the Galaxy

"These past three months should have made you understand that this is just the beginning of a new chapter in your life, so there's no need to rush."

"Coming with me to the universe, to see different worlds, it's just a matter of time."

Harvey, hearing Tony Stark's words and noticing the calm clarity in his gaze very different from the reckless genius who once revealed himself as Iron Man at a press conference felt more at ease and smiled.

Clearly, Tony Stark had taken his warnings seriously during these past months. Ever since the incident with Obadiah Stane and the creation of the new element that stabilized the Arc Reactor, Tony had matured significantly, never considering directly devouring sentient life to accelerate his evolution.

Although his evolutionary speed was slower compared to more ruthless paths, the key was steady progress, ensuring he would not lose himself like many power-driven beings in the universe.such as those corrupted by the power of the Infinity Stones.

"Seeing myself grow younger every day, feeling the power within me growing stronger,"

"I know this is a new beginning. While it makes me happy, it also makes me think of the powerful figures on Earth and across the cosmos… and how weak I still am in comparison."

Tony Stark smiled as he spoke, thinking of beings like Thor and Odin, whose existence had already shattered his previous scientific worldview.

"As long as you can adapt,"

Harvey nodded slightly.

"Harvey, I wonder if you could bring me some special products from space when you go to space?"

"Alien technology… or perhaps rare materials from other civilizations, like those used by the Kree or remnants of Chitauri weaponry?"

"As for the reward, we can discuss it later, or I can exchange Stark Industries shares."

"The more advanced the technology, the more valuable Stark Industries becomes, and that means more resources for you as well."

Tony considered carefully before making the suggestion.

If he could obtain extraterrestrial technology similar to what powered the Chitauri or the energy systems used by the Kree Empire, it could push his research far beyond current Earth limitations.

This would allow him to better prepare for future threats, especially with the looming danger of figures like Thanos.

"I can travel through space and return at any time."

"So bringing you some items won't be difficult."

Harvey thought briefly before replying.

"That's perfect. Then I'll be waiting for your good news."

"While you're away, I'll have people maintain your properties."

"Everything will be clean and intact when you return."

Tony Stark showed no surprise at Harvey's ability to traverse space freely. After all, compared to beings like Captain Marvel, who could travel across galaxies unaided, this no longer seemed impossible.

"Okay."

Harvey accepted without refusal.

"Miss Pepper, you've become even more beautiful in the past two months."

"No wonder Tony Stark went out of his way to secure your place."

Harvey then turned to Pepper.

"Thank you for the compliment. I should be the one thanking you for giving me this opportunity."

Pepper Potts blushed slightly and responded politely.

From Tony's explanations, she already understood how dangerous and vast this new world was. Whether it was Earth's Sorcerer Supreme like Ancient One or cosmic empires beyond the stars, everything required caution.

Tony had warned her repeatedly not because he feared her personality, but because one careless remark in front of the wrong being could bring consequences far beyond legal or corporate trouble.

Now that she had stepped into a world beyond ordinary human limits, one not bound by laws but by power, Pepper had naturally become more composed and cautious.

"Looks like you're adapting well. That's reassuring."

"Alright, I'll head into space for a while. You two enjoy your meal."

"If anything unusual happens on Earth, Tony, leave me a message."

"I'll check it when I return."

Harvey glanced at the two of them, then spoke calmly.

The next moment, a distorted void aperture similar in nature to spatial warping phenomena seen in cosmic events opened beneath his feet.

His figure vanished instantly.

"Being able to move between Earth and space so freely… Mr. Harvey Ambellaca's abilities are truly beyond imagination."

Tony Stark murmured, recalling once again that even with all his technology, he was still only at the starting line of this vast universe.

After Harvey Ambella left, Pepper Potts remarked with some emotion.

"Yes, but his abilities don't stop there."

"We've only just begun our evolution."

"As long as we don't aim too high, we'll gradually become stronger."

"Once we're truly strong, we'll go to space together to see the customs and cultures of various planets."

"We'll wander through the vast starry sky together, and see everything we've always wanted to see but couldn't due to technological limitations—even places like the Kree Empire or Xandar."

Tony Stark's eyes flickered as he spoke.

He had witnessed terrifying entities within the Void—existences that rivaled cosmic beings. Some of them gave him a pressure not unlike what legends described of beings such as Galactus, who devours worlds.

Therefore, he wasn't particularly surprised by Harvey Ambella's displayed ability.

However, the more he witnessed, the more he realized his own weakness.

"Okay,"

Pepper said, her beautiful eyes shimmering with longing upon hearing Tony Stark's words.

Meanwhile, Harvey went directly to the Moon, standing upon its barren surface as he gazed down at the distant blue planet Earth. The vacuum of space and extreme cold that would instantly kill an ordinary human felt insignificant to him now, barely more than a passing sensation.

Harvey had long possessed the ability to physically survive in space thanks to his continuous Void evolution, but without a reliable method of interstellar travel, he had never ventured far beyond Earth's vicinity.

Now, with the Voidwalker's spatial traversal ability, he finally possessed a power comparable to cosmic teleportation similar in principle, though far cruder, to advanced methods like the Bifrost used by Asgard.

Harvey already had a clear plan for this extraterrestrial journey.

First, he would establish himself in the wider universe whether as a bounty hunter or mercenary to accumulate resources and information.

Then, he would gradually spread the influence of the Void, forming a cult-like following among weaker civilizations and ambitious individuals seeking power.

Once his name spread, others would naturally seek him out—there would be no need to search aimlessly.

And upon further consideration, he realized he didn't even need to target Earth's rare resources like Vibranium from Wakanda.

On Earth, Vibranium was nearly irreplaceable and monopolized by Wakanda.

But in the vast universe, while still rare, such materials could be traded, mined, or acquired through other means.

Harvey focused his mind, his perception expanding outward. His vision shifted from the Moon's surface to a vast, panoramic awareness of the Milky Way galaxy.

He needed to locate a sufficiently advanced civilization, perhaps one affiliated with the Nova Corps or similar galactic powers to acquire a universal translator device.

Without overcoming language barriers, even basic interaction in the cosmos would be difficult.

At that exact moment, far away on Earth at Kamar-Taj, the Ancient One suddenly sensed something.

She stepped out swiftly, her expression turning grave as she looked toward the sky.

She felt a vast, terrifying gaze cold and distant watching the planet from beyond.

Golden light ignited within her eyes as she invoked her mystical sight, attempting to peer through reality and trace the source across the dimensional layers.

However, her vision extended far beyond Earth… yet she could not identify the entity.

All she perceived was an immeasurable void.

Meanwhile, in Asgard, one of the Nine Realms, the guardian Heimdall stood watch at the observatory near the Rainbow Bridge.

His all-seeing eyes, capable of observing events across the cosmos, suddenly paused.

For the first time in countless years, Heimdall felt something watching back.

A gaze.

Cold, vast, and utterly alien.

He attempted to trace it, his vision piercing through space itself.

But what he saw was not a location, nor a being—only an endless darkness.

And within that darkness… a terrifying purplish-black star, like a living singularity.

Even Heimdall, who had witnessed the rise and fall of civilizations, had never seen such a thing.

He immediately realized that this was no ordinary presence.

At the same time, within the palace of Asgard, Odin, the All-Father, was seated in contemplation.

Suddenly, his expression changed.

A foreign awareness brushed against Asgard itself.

"Who dares to spy upon Asgard?!"

Odin rose abruptly, golden energy surging around him as he summoned the Odinforce, his armor manifesting instantly.

His voice thundered through the palace.

Yet… there was no answer.

The presence vanished as suddenly as it had appeared.

Asgardian warriors rushed in response to their king's outburst, their weapons ready.

But they found no enemy, only the solemn, wary expression of the All-Father.

None of them understood what had just occurred.

But Odin did.

Somewhere in the vast universe…

something had begun to awaken.
