There were several problems with being visibly pregnant. First, everyone stared. Second, everyone smiled, third, Adam had completely lost his mind. Not emotionally, not romantically, strategically again.
"It is a hallway." I said carefully while staring at the four guards suddenly stationed outside our chambers.
"It is a vulnerable access point." Adam replied immediately.
"It leads to the library."I said.
"Exactly."He said.
"Books are not assassins."I said.
"Anyone can hide behind books."He said.
"You think someone is going to attack me with literature?"I stared at him slowly.
"I am considering every possibility."Adam looked completely serious.
"Oh no." I whispered.
Beside us Huan looked exhausted already, holding several new security reports while servants rushed through the corridors carrying additional locks, reinforced windows, emergency medical kits and enough protective charms to ward off an ancient demon.
