Chapter: The Photo That Revealed Everything
After the roller coaster ride, everyone sat near a beautiful fountain inside the amusement park.
The sky was painted orange and pink as the sun disappeared.
Jay was still holding the teddy bear.
Rose noticed it immediately.
"You haven't put that teddy bear down even once."
Jay looked at the bear and smiled.
"It's special."
Lily raised an eyebrow.
"Special?"
Jay quickly looked away.
"I mean... Kiefer won it, and he gave it to me."
Rose and Lily exchanged a look.
They were trying very hard not to laugh.
Kiefer noticed.
"What?"
"Nothing," Rose said, hiding her smile.
"You two are acting strange today."
Lily smiled.
"Maybe because today is strange."
Kiefer shook his head.
"You're impossible."
Suddenly, Rose had an idea.
"Let's take a picture!"
Everyone agreed.
They stood near the fountain.
Rose immediately moved everyone around.
"Kiefer, stand here."
"Why?"
"Because I said so."
Kiefer sighed.
Jay stood beside him, still holding the teddy bear.
Lily stood on the other side.
Rose held up the camera.
"Smile!"
Click.
The picture was taken.
A few seconds later, Rose looked at the photo.
Her eyes widened.
"Oh..."
Lily looked over.
"What happened?"
Rose showed her the picture.
In the photo, everyone was smiling.
But there was something else.
Kiefer was looking at Jay with a small, gentle smile.
Not the serious CEO expression everyone knew.
A smile that almost nobody had ever seen.
Lily looked surprised.
"Kiefer..."
Rose covered her mouth, trying not to laugh.
"Our serious CEO is in trouble."
"What are you talking about?" Kiefer asked.
Rose quickly hid the phone.
"Nothing!"
Jay looked confused.
"What are you two hiding?"
"Nothing important," Lily said.
But Rose couldn't stop smiling.
Later, when everyone was walking through the park, Jay looked at the photo.
She smiled quietly.
She didn't know why, but this day felt different.
She had entered the amusement park as a stranger.
But now...
She felt like she belonged with them.
Meanwhile, Kiefer walked ahead.
Rose and Lily followed behind him.
Rose whispered:
"I have known Kiefer since childhood."
Lily nodded.
"Me too."
"Have you ever seen him look at someone like that?"
Lily became quiet.
"No."
Rose smiled.
"Then something big is happening."
At that moment, Kiefer turned around.
"What are you two talking about?"
Rose immediately smiled.
"We were talking about how you are getting old."
Kiefer frowned.
"I'm younger than both of you."
Lily laughed.
And for the rest of the evening, the four of them continued enjoying the amusement park.
But none of them knew...
That one simple picture would become a memory they would never forget.
