While they were still in the sub dimension. Milly told the girls everything about what was going on inside outside the mansion through Lazark's shadow that came to inform her not too long ago before it disappeared.
After a long session of thinking and coming up with ideas, they couldn't come up with a proper plan to handle the situation.
Rachel: mhh... I think it's better to regroup with the boys before fighting enemy soldiers.
Kali: but Sion is unconscious and Alex went looking for him, so how?
Martha: at our night here together, I saw Sion place multiple books on the chest which was in the room and I think those were grimores.
Rachel: knowing Sion, there might be teleportation grimoires in that chest.
Kali: good! Then we don't have to worry about Transportation.
Milly:... Are you guys sure about this?
Rachel: about what?
Milly: about fighting for Lotus! This is our battle... And I feel like I'm dragging you guys in it. You're adventurers, you do not have to get involved if you want.
The three girls looked at each other before looking at her again, then they frowned.
Milly: yep that says it all, you don't have to answer! Well anyways... There's something I would like to give you guys before we decide on a plan.
Kali: what is it?
Milly: oh you're gonna like it! Come on.
They left the sub dimension and followed Milly to the training grounds where they trained deep mana control.
Kali: what are we doing back here again?
Milly: (opens a hidden door) mhh, it looks like the one for Sion is gone as well, but anyways the ones we need are here.
Martha: what is it?
Milly: (opens the three chests that were inside) high level magic gears!
Kali: for real! No way!
Rachel: huh? I did not see this coming!
Martha: can I even handle this equipment?
Milly: I'm pretty sure you can. Anyway these gears are different for each person and we selected them according to your attributes, fighting style and mana levels. But they were meant for people who mastered deep mana control soo... Since Rachel and Martha haven't passed the training like Kali that means you might have trouble handling these equipments and have a high risk of endangering yourselves or worse... Your lives.
Martha:.... I'm sorry but I won't be using it... But do you have anything else that can atleast be of use?
Milly: I understand and yes I think I can get you something.
Martha: thanks and I hope it's good for support, since I would be kinda useless in battle.
Milly: sure. How about you Rachel?
Rachel:... I will use it!
Kali: huh?! Didn't you hear her? You can get badly hurt!
Rachel: thanks for worrying about me, but right now in this situation I need to be strong as I can be to be useful... So give me the equipment miss Milly.
Milly: (sigh) yeah sure, but don't say I didn't warn you... Well my husband is gonna be so pissed when he finds out I gave you this before you were ready. (scratching her head)
Kali: well give us the goods will ya?!
Milly: sure...
Milly gave Rachel and Kali the equipment (note: the equipment was highlighted in the previous chapter) and provided Kali with basic equipment for support like magic items meant to do support functions if you pour mana into them.
After they were sorted, they headed to Sion and Martha's room to secure a teleportation grimoire. After they found it.... Rachel started to hear a rumbling.
The ground started shaking aggressively and before they could react properly, they all sensed a huge amount of mana bieng concentrated in one sport before... (slash!) then boom! From the top of a hill, a large amount of water poured out making a wave that crashed straight to the city and washed away everything in its site.
The girls stared at the scene with shock in their faces. A huge portion of the city was destroyed right in front of them and they couldn't do anything about it, since it happened so fast!
Milly: Rio... Leo... My boys! My kids! (panicked)
Rachel: calm down! Miss Milly! Remember what the shadow said? Sion is with them underground, so they're probably safe... For now!
Martha: (shaking).... All those people... This is awful... Who or what could've done this?
Kali:... The old man! (tightens fist) I can't think of anyone else who can do this!
Martha: but if that's the case, then doesn't that mean, Albert...lost?
Rachel: I can't imagine him losing but...
Kali: that old goat is strong as hell! When I fought him... I could tell... He's probably stronger than Albert.
Rachel: then why didn't you tell Albert beforehand?
Kali: would that have stopped him?
Rachel:... Probably not. But right now we have to go to the city and help those people!
Kali: sure but how about those things the old man was looking for when he came here?
Milly: don't worry about those... He'll never find them.
Kali:... If you say so.
Milly: we'll teleport to the city to help the injured let's go.
The girls: right!
Milly: [grimoire: teleport]
Right in the middle of disaster, the girls popped up at the streets where the were most people, but when they got there... Almost everyone were cured and already have recovered and less people were panicked or in despair.
Kali:... What's going on? Why is everyone... So calm?
Rachel: I'm just as confused as you are.
Milly: (looks around until she sees a broom with magic runes on it)... I can probably guess why.
Martha: yeah it's probably Terka.
Kali: who?
Milly: she's a healer class adventurer who for some reason only operates around Lotus. She always flies around with a magic broom and always helps and heals the people in need, even though she doesn't benefit anything from it.
Rachel: wow she sounds incredible!
Martha: yeah, she is.
Milly: if she's around, then we can leave it up to her.
Kali: are you sure she'll be able to handle everything on her own?
Milly: don't underestimate her. We'd only be getting in her way, she's a B rank after all.
Rachel and Kali: B rank! That's higher than us!
Milly: you see? Now let's get Alex and prepare for what's likely to be our final battle.
Martha: how about Gaari and Dagen?
Milly: Nalik, Lazark and my husband can handle that matter.
Rachel:... So this is it then?
Kali: yeah... It's about time we end this shit once and for all.
Milly: good. I've located Alex's aura and man it's huge... He should learn to suppress it next time. Anyways let's go!
The girls: right!
The girls instantly teleported to where Alex was, somewhere near the the underground tunnel where Sion and the twins were. After explaining everything to Alex, they teleported to where Albert and Edwick were. Which brings us to the present time.
