Arc 3 chapter 51
Albert's mana was still inactive due to Edwick's magic while the Crimson Fate faced off against Edwick.
Alex charged straight at Edwick with his hand covered in aura and went for a punch. Edwick avoided it, but he was caught of guard by Kali who popped out of nowhere and delivered a [super kick LV5] which sent him flying and Alex gathered aura in his hand and flames started to charge up in his arms.
[fire blast LV8] Alex threw the spell directly at Edwick and he got covered in flames and while Edwick was still covered. Alex manipulated his fire blast and turned it into a [fire tornado LV10].
Without surprise, Edwick cut through the fire tornado and headed straight for Alex, but he was intercepted by Milly who threw in a [giant wind blade LV8], turning the air around her into a giant blade that went straight for Edwick. Edwick responded with a [giant water blade LV10] of his own, overpowering Milly's attack.
Milly dodged the aftermath of it and opened multiple sub dimensions whereby a lot swords came out from each portal and rained on Edwick.
Edwick: mhh, not bad.... Total concentration... [water dragon dance]
Edwick closed his eyes for a moment then... Unleashed three dragons that were moving in sync with his sword and used them to splash all the blades away with water waves and then soon after he closed the distance with Alex.
Edwick thrusted his sword towards Alex and aimed at his heart.
Alex: not a chance! [flame body]
Alex turned his body into fire, making Edwick's attack meaningless as he stabbed a huge chunk of fire. Just when Edwick's sword was still in Alex's chest, Rachel popped up from above to to crush Edwick with her spear.
A bright golden light illuminated Rachel's spear as she thrusted it towards Edwick in a powerful blow [golden fall LV5].
Edwick pulled out his sword from Alex and quickly used it to block Rachel's battle tech. The impact of Rachel's spear on Edwick's sword caused huge shockwaves that destroyed the whole area near them and sent a lot of trees flying.
The old man instantly appeared behind Rachel in a blink of an eye and kicked her in the stomach, causing the golden armor to crack just a little and sent Rachel flying, but she quickly recovered and her and Kali went straight for the offense once again.
Rachel: take this! [rapid light spear LV5]
Kali: [water drill LV5]
Rachel threw multiple light spears at Edwick and Kali manipulated her water element to form a giant water drill and they both shot their spells at Edwick.
The old man dodged all the light spears and sliced the water drill in half, but the two water halves quickly went after him and turned into ice to restrain his arms and legs.
Kali charged straight to the old man and used [boxing LV10] and threw a huge number of punches at Edwick's face. The blows were so fast and strong that they caused earthquakes and heavy wind pressure with each punch.
Edwick soon broke free from the ice covering his limbs and used his aura to repel the girls back making a distance between them.
Rachel: damn it! This guy is too tough!
Kali: and too strong.
Milly: and quick.
Alex: if only I can land some few hits.
Milly: what difference will that make?
Albert: probably because Alex's flames are not normal.
Milly: huh?
Rachel: oh! I remember now! That's because Alex's flames ignores defense.
Milly: what?! How?!
Alex: I don't know either... But for some reason I can burn through almost anything, no matter how tough.
Kali: and I think the old man noticed it too when you attacked him earlier. That's why he's so set on taking you out first!
Milly: and since Alex... Has a huge mana pool... We might be able to inflict huge damage on the old man!
Albert: I don't think so.
Milly: why not?
Albert: that fucker doesn't have any openings and he has a huge mana pool as well, from all these years of experience and precise...
Rachel: he's a water attribute. A big disadvantage for a fire element attribute like Alex.
Milly: damn it! So back to square one.
Alex:... (scoffs) well, not really.
Edwick:....?!
Rachel: (oh please, not him)
A portal opened in the sky and from it a giant structure made of metal and magic crystals came out of the portal.
This flying object was a magic air ship, it was gold and white in color and had blue magic crystals from around its roundish bean shape structure and was also very huge in size to fit in a lot of people and other materials. It was literally a flying home of your own, which can only be afforded by royalties and very high ranking adventurers and nobles.
From this magic air ship, multiple people dropped out of it all the way from the sky to land right next to Edwick in the most dramatic way possible. These five adventurers who just made it to the scene were none other than the Great Blades party, an A rank party soon reaching S rank and who their leader is none other than Rachel's twin brother, Garland Vall and his members Selena, Lizy, Zeno and Owen who looked ready for battle.
Garland: well it looks like this time we landed on the right spot.
Owen: this old man... I can feel it! He's strong! Just what I wanted.
Martha: no way!... It's the Great Blades! Oh my gosh!
Albert:... Great Blades? Why does that name irritate me for some reason?
Milly: it's because, it's almost like the Great Storm, your former party right? Well those guys were inspired by you guys that they even included the word "great" in their party name.
Albert:... Is that so? Well ok.
Milly: that's it?
Albert:....
Edwick: (smirk) well would you look at that? It looks like more brats showed up to increase the number of dead bodies today!
Garland: (summons a golden glowing sword) come forth! Sky Dragon Blade!
Albert:...?!
Milly: (gasp) isn't that?!
Albert: yes it is... My old sword.
