" Welcome Sir." The help collected my backpack and said.
" Oh, bunny, I heard what happened..."
" When the fuck were you gonna tell me?!" I yelled.
" I didn't want you to freak out."
I turned to the help taking my shoes off, "do I have to tell you to get out?!" I asked angrily. She muttered an apology and left with the rest.
" You didn't want me to...oh, don't say such annoying things."
" Oh , bunny,"
Tamara gave me that look she gives when I'm right and she's wrong.
" You should've at least..." I stopped. I stopped because she wasn't listening to me anymore. Tamara walked over to Claude and hugged him.
" My baby," she said and Claude laughed," I'm not a baby," he said mid laugh and irritation filled me.
" Wait, first two have been lying to me for months then I get to find out this trash myself because you didn't want me freak out and you two are taking it for levity and now you're acting like you haven't seen him in ages, what's wrong with you guys?!" I yelled and Claude literally rolled his eyes .
" Oh it's not worth complaint, okay." I said. I walked upstairs thereafter and slammed the door shut loudly.
" Then what?" I yelled angrily at myself," I'll start to hear stuff like, Calhoun, learn to control yourself, Calhoun you get angry too fast, he's your brother Calhoun, don't...urgh!" I walked into the bathroom and washed my face in the sink and sat on the floor.
Minutes passed and I just remained there. A loud knock on my door brought me back to my senses. I came out and sat in the bed undoing my buttons.
" Come in." I chose my words wisely incase it was Tamara but no, Claude walked in.
" What in goodness name is your problem?" He asked
" What do you want?" I ignored his question and asked. When he didn't respond,I asked," what are you doing her?" I took my shirt off.
" Why are you acting like a kid?"
" Me, acting like... you know, I'm just gonna keep you quiet."
" You're just overreacting."
" Get out. Get the fuck out Claude! You don't get to come into my room and tell me I'm overreacting."
" Calm down dude."
I didn't say anything, I just took my neck chain off and dropped it. He turned to leave.
" Tamara said she wants to see us downstairs, academy related."
He said and walked out. I ignored him and went into the shower.
Hours Later...
5:00pm
I walked downstairs with my eyes glued to my phone for dinner. I sat on the table as Sarai, the cook, served. I was the only one there at first until Claude and Tamara joined. There had to be no way Claude would have eaten like a horse on the table but I kept my mouth shut.
" I asked for us to have this conversation earlier but you chose to nap." Big T said.
" Siesta, T . It was necessary." I said waving my hands for the maids to leave.
" Anyways, the name of the Academy is Ravenshade Academy. It's not a regular school..."
" Yeah, that part's pretty obvious." I muttered and she sighed.
" Claude knows about it..."
" Yes, enlighten the ignorant one." I say in utter sarcasm.
" Calhoun!"
" Don't raise your voice, I'm not lying."
For like a minute, Tamara didn't say anything.
" It doesn't have the usual grade classes, you just get promoted or you get to the top due to your abilities. Like Claude for instance, he already holds a high position before he gets there and you possibly just don't know your abilities yet."
" So what can you do or what do you have?" I asked turning to Claude
" Speed. Currently cause I've been working on it. I can run here to school in less than five minutes."
" Really?" I pretended not to be surprised but that was humanly impossible.
" Yeah, we have so much crazy speed ' cause we're smoke demons."
" What's a... nevermind. Continue." I urged.
" Okay. I can hear the ruccus outside the estate, the more I express my abilities the sharper my senses. I can see in total darkness and here farther."
" Okay, I'm still pissed but that's just crazy."
" How far can you hear?" Claude asked
" Oh, I can hear you."
" Really? Just here?"
" Of course."
" Because I haven't turned up your abilities. You'd be overwhelmed." Deimos said.
" I'm good, thanks." I replied him
" So till whenever you're active, Calhoun, we'll leave for the academy." Big T said.
" With you?"
" Oh, no. C'mon I'm twenty six years old, Calhoun, I don't want to ' cause I've got work to do. You may meet people above twenty one or two max." Tamara explained
" We can go tomorrow." I don't know why I said that but I said it.
" But you can't do anything unusual." Claude said to me and I could tell Deimos felt slightly insulted.
" I'm stronger and better than Claude." Deimos growls inside me.
" Yeah, that's why I'm a regular kid." I still don't know why I said that.
" Yes, I can't...yet." I replied.
I faced my food and started eating.
" Till tomorrow then." Claude said.
" Elizabeth." Claude called
" Take my food inside." He said as she came out.
