Chapter 167 - Chapter 167: The Royal Coronation and An Unexpected Invitation

The vast courtyard of the royal palace was overflowing with thousands of people from all across the kingdom. Rising from his throne, the Emperor declared in a resounding voice, "My beloved subjects! With immense joy, I announce today that starting tomorrow, the worthy Prime Minister who will govern this kingdom alongside me is our beloved Rupanjan! In the past, there was no minister in this realm because I managed the kingdom single-handedly. But today, I change that decision. I appoint Rupanjan as the Prime Minister of my court—a man I trust even more than myself! He has passed the three immensely difficult tests given by me with miraculous wisdom. Thus, from this day forth, I rest assured by entrusting all royal duties and the responsibilities of this kingdom into Rupanjan's hands!"

Upon hearing this unimaginable and honorable announcement from the Emperor's mouth, Rupanjan broke down in tears of joy and emotion, dropping to his knees on the courtyard grounds with his eyes welling up.

The Emperor immediately stepped down from the throne, gently taking Rupanjan by his shoulders to lift him up. Smiling, he said, "Do not cry, Rupanjan! I know these are tears of joy. But now is not the time to weep; now is the time to laugh in delight, to leap with joy, to sing songs, and to recite poetry! Rise, stand tall! Your true royal coronation is still yet to come!"

Saying this, the Emperor personally placed a royal crown studded with diamonds and pearls, specially crafted in Rupanjan's honor, upon Rupanjan's head. Then, with great grandiosity, Rupanjan was seated on the throne of the Prime Minister. There sat the Emperor on his royal throne, and right beside him was the newly appointed and deeply revered Prime Minister, Rupanjan!

After the auspicious ceremony was completed, the Emperor summoned the guards and commanded, "Let this grand news spread like the wind in every direction! Inform all the surrounding kingdoms that next Sunday, an unprecedented grand festival will take place in our royal palace! A special invitation goes out to the Kings, Queens, and their children—the Princes and Princesses—of all neighboring kingdoms. Let each of them come in grand splendour to take part in this joyous celebration. And when inviting everyone, make sure to state the reason clearly—from today, Rupanjan is the Prime Minister of my realm!"

The guards bowed respectfully and replied, "As you command, Your Majesty!"

Thereafter, the Emperor personally wrote a special letter and dispatched it toward the kingdom of Junagarh. In the letter, King Aditya and Queen Arohi of Junagarh were respectfully informed: 'We have joyfully appointed Rupanjan as our new Prime Minister. You must attend this royal celebration next Sunday along with your family.'

The guards delivered the invitations to all the surrounding realms. One by one, after completing the royal invitations in every kingdom, the messengers arrived before the royal palace of Junagarh.

However, at that moment, King Aditya and Queen Arohi were not present in the Junagarh palace. Only Snigdha, Prabhasa, Prince Prafulla, and Prabasa were residing at the palace. Prafulla was sitting in the royal court with a solemn face, overseeing state affairs. The guards went straight to the court and handed over the Emperor's royal invitation and letter into the hands of Prince Prafulla.
