Green. A bizarre girl Ash knew from his original world. The way they met was quite bizarre too: she had initially planned to steal Ash's belongings, only to get counter-robbed by Meowth. After that, she picked a bone with Ash. To successfully steal from him, Green used every trick in the book, even resorting to the honey trap. In the end, however, she was consistently outplayed by him. Through failure after failure, Green actually ended up becoming very close friends with Ash.
The two even traveled together for a while. But eventually, Green started getting scared.
Due to certain circumstances, she had forgotten who her parents were. All she knew was that she had been abducted... Had she not relied on her own cleverness to escape, a fate far more terrifying would have awaited her. Because of this, she grew afraid. She was terrified of dragging Ash into her mess. To prevent him from getting hurt, she chose to leave without saying goodbye. The result was Ash dragging her back and giving her a spanking.
And then... Well, there was no 'then.' The organization that had kidnapped Green was nothing in the face of someone far more ruthless. Before they even knew what hit them, the task force sent to recapture Green was completely wiped out. Simultaneously, their headquarters was obliterated by a certain furious "godfather."
After that, Ash and Green made their relationship official. But maybe this girl was just too used to wandering wild, because she ran off on her own again. Only this time, she was genuinely just traveling and playing around without any burdens.
But who could have guessed that her wandering would cause such trouble? Out of curiosity, she touched a strange rippling distortion in space, and as a result, got sucked into an alternate universe. Although this place was similar to her original world, it was far more dangerous. Fortunately, with the Pokémon Ash had helped train for her self-defense, she managed to stay safe. Still, the thought that she might never see her spanking-happy boyfriend again made her quite sad.
However, when she unexpectedly saw Ash through a mirror, her first thought wasn't to ask him to save her, but to warn him to stay away from the ripples so he wouldn't be transported to the alternate world too. She completely forgot to ask him to rescue her.
"I really am an idiot. I actually forgot to tell that blockhead Ash to come save me... Whatever, I'll just live here."
"Roar!" A Nidoqueen called out beside her. Green patted Nidoqueen's head and said, "I know, I'm fine. Let's head to Saffron City now. I hope nothing major is going down over there. Seriously, why is yours truly always so unlucky and getting dragged into incidents?"
Thinking about how she had accidentally offended Team Rocket recently made Green want to cry. How could she be so unlucky? Now she had to delete her data from Team Rocket's database, or she'd never know peace again.
Yet, when Green arrived at Saffron City, she found it on total lockdown. And the ones locking it down were none other than Team Rocket.
"I'm doomed... Why Team Rocket of all people?!"
Looking at the locked-down Saffron City, Green wanted to cry but had no tears left. She still had things to do inside!
"Just as I expected, it's blocked off? Looks like something huge has happened..."
Just as Green was feeling helpless, a voice came from beside her. It was a boy with a Charizard.
"Huh? Who're you?"
Green looked at the boy strangely, but he completely ignored her and walked straight toward Saffron City on his own.
"Charizard, use Flamethrower!"
"Roar!"
At the boy's command, Charizard unleashed a Flamethrower straight at Saffron City's barrier. However, before the flames could even touch the barrier, another stream of fire aggressively canceled out Charizard's attack, driving it back toward Charizard with an even stronger force.
"Roar!"
Feeling the dangerously intense heat rushing toward it, Charizard instantly dodged out of the way. In the spot where Charizard had just been standing, the foreign flames continued to burn fiercely.
"My, my, apologies to both of you. This area is currently restricted."
Accompanied by a frivolous-sounding voice, a masked man appeared before the boy and Green. Beside the masked man stood a terrifyingly intimidating Houndoom. The white smoke still trailing from its jaws proved that it was the one who had unleashed the counter-flames just now.
"Who are you?"
The boy's face darkened as he stared at the masked man. He knew exactly what it meant for his Charizard's flames to be not only canceled out but pushed back.
The masked man completely ignored the boy's question, turning instead to Green. He suddenly flashed right in front of her and said, "Oh my, it's quite rare to see such a beautiful girl. Say, miss, would you mind telling me your name? I go by Sebastian, an executive of Team Rocket~"
As he spoke, the masked man frivolously lifted Green's chin. Green instantly swatted his hand away and snapped, "Sorry, I'm not interested in flirty creeps. Plus, I already have a man. Careful, he'll beat you up."
Hearing Green say this, the face under the masked man's mask—who was Ash—instantly twitched. So you DO know I can help you.
But he couldn't drop the act now; he had to play the part fully. Otherwise, this girl would never realize her man's true strength. So Ash smiled and said, "Don't be like that. I'm actually quite interested in fierce girls like you. Of course, if you'd be willing to grab a cup of coffee with me, I think I'd be very happy."
"Dream on!"
