"Well well well, I was wondering why you asked me to come all the way here. I really didn't expect Dragonair to be pregnant! And with Dragonite's children no less. This is a massive discovery!"
Professor Oak looked at Dragonair, who was resting on a custom-made bed, with surprise. Daisy, who had tagged along, cast a speechless glance at the Dragonite and muttered to Ash, "Dirty old man?"
"Shh. Give him some face, the guy has needs." Ash glanced at the Dragonite looking their way and quickly covered Daisy's mouth. Even though Daisy was speaking facts, saying it out loud would embarrass the Dragonite.
"Awooo!" (Ash, if she wasn't your woman, I really might have hit someone...)
After Meowth translated Dragonite's words in his ear, Ash awkwardly patted Dragonite. "Well... human lifespans and Dragon-type lifespans are different, so..."
"Awooo!" (I get it. That's why I didn't hit anyone.)
"Hahahaha! You old pervert! Hahaha!" The sudden laughter startled everyone, and then the Gastly slowly materialized as Rin and Delia walked in.
"Gastly, don't say that, you'll cause trouble for Mr. Dragonite..." Rin looked helplessly at Gastly, not knowing what to say.
Gastly just laughed, "Hah! It's fine! I'm just stating facts. Right, old pervert?"
"Awooo!" (Looks like we need to have a fight...)
"Oh? Suits me perfectly! Even if I can't beat you, I can still annoy the hell out of you!"
Seeing Gastly and Dragonite about to throw down, Ash slapped them both upside the head. "You two idiots, shut up! Can't you see Dragonair needs rest? Believe it or not, I'll throw you both out!"
"Awooo!" (Don't! I'm about to leave, let me look at my cubs a bit longer!)
"Alright, out of respect for you, Boss..."
Seeing the two finally quiet down, Ash continued, "Alright. Dragonite and the girls stay here. All the other guys, come outside with me. Seriously, you're all just causing trouble for Dragonair in here..."
Smack! Before Ash could finish speaking, a person was already clinging desperately to Ash's leg, practically wiping snot and tears on him. And this person was none other than Bill.
"Ash! Lord Ash! Master Ash! Let me stay here, please?! I beg you! Just let me stay here!"
"Let go! You're being gross! Let go right now!"
"No! I'm begging you, Ash! Please! This is the request of a lifetime! I can definitely be of help!"
After a barrage of relentless begging, Ash finally agreed to let Bill stay and help Professor Oak look after Dragonair. Meanwhile, Misty, Suzie, Lara, and the others looked curiously at the pregnant Dragonair.
"Honestly, Dragonite really knows how to make work for me..." With someone taking over his duties, Ash could finally rest for a moment. After all, besides the medical team and Nurse Joy, Ash had been working the hardest.
"Prepare some food for the medical team and Nurse Joy."
"Yes sir!"
Seeing Ash order food for everyone, Daisy smiled and said, "Still so good at taking care of people. Looks like I can relax a lot more while you're traveling."
"Yeah. But Daisy, you're the one working hard taking care of Professor Oak, right?" Thinking about Professor Oak, who only knew how to eat instant noodles all day, Ash knew Daisy definitely had it rough.
Daisy smiled and shook her head. "It's fine. Aunt Delia and Rin sometimes bring food over. It's not too hard on me."
"Well, if it gets to be too much, just have the Continental Hotel staff deliver meals to you. Don't exhaust yourself. And Rin, that goes for you too. If you're tired, rest. Even though you haven't had any problems since being un-petrified, I still worry your body might not be used to it."
Hearing Ash say this, Rin paused for a moment. Then, she smiled, shook her head, walked up to Ash, and pressed herself against his chest to listen to his heartbeat. "It's okay, Ash. This is perfect. Being able to meet you again, being able to listen to your heartbeat again... it's enough for me."
Seeing Rin like this, Ash hugged her a little tighter. "I'm sorry..."
"Please don't say sorry. No one has the right to blame you for what you did." Feeling Ash's heartbeat and the reality of him right in front of her, Rin's lips curved into a smile. Just being able to see him again was the best outcome possible.
Watching Rin's smile, Daisy smiled understandingly. During the time Rin had been living there, Daisy had learned about her past. Daisy had felt very conflicted about this girl who had waited a thousand years for Ash. But seeing Rin's smile, she completely understood. All Rin ever wanted was to be with Ash forever...
BOOM! Just as Ash, Rin, and Daisy were enjoying a quiet moment together, an explosion echoed from outside, and Ash's expression instantly dropped.
Bang! The door to the room where they were caring for Dragonair slammed open, and Dragonite stormed out, looking incredibly pissed. When he saw Ash holding Rin, he knew Ash was probably just as furious as he was.
The two men didn't need to speak. They exchanged a silent nod. Ash patted Rin and said, "Rin, wait here a moment. I need to go handle something."
Seeing Ash clearly holding back his raging anger, Rin nodded. "Okay, Ash. Don't push yourself too hard..."
"Don't worry. I'm absolutely going to make those bastards understand the meaning of 'manners'! Charizard, Dragonite, with me!"
"Roar!" (Time to beat some people up!)
"Awooo!" (Let's go!)
Calling upon his two top generals, Ash turned back to Daisy. "Daisy, rest here a bit. I'll be back as soon as I handle this."
Watching Ash's skyrocketing fury, Daisy nodded. "Good luck. Finish it quick."
Outside the Continental Hotel, two groups of what appeared to be biker gangs had gotten into an argument and started a massive brawl. The hotel's security team had been about to intervene, but they received a notice: Stand down. The Boss will handle this personally. Because of this, the security team was currently looking at the bikers like they were already dead men.
Quickly, Ash walked out with Charizard and Dragonite. Dragonite glared at the brawling Pokémon, his eyes growing increasingly vicious, while his right fist already sparked with flames.
"I know exactly how you feel right now, Dragonite, so don't hold back! Go get 'em! Charizard, take out the enemies with Dragonite!"
"Roar!"
"Awooo!" (Let's show them the meaning of cruelty!)
With a powerful flap of their wings, the two heavy hitters charged toward the chaotic mob of thugs.
