Chapter 6 - chapter 6: Determined path solely for Tingyun's miserable fate

*Boom!*

*Bomm!*

*Bang!*

*Bang!*

Explosions and the sound of gunshots echoed, bullets flew everywhere and thick smoke continued to wander aimlessly.

"Not bad, Hound." Gilgamesh complimented, pressing his hand to flip to the ground, dodging the crimson blade.

"I could say the same thing to you, Goldie." Her melodic voice like a whisper of the devil traveled to the king's ear.

The golden gates manifested into existence, and more staff came out, followed by a zap of lightning hurling towards Kafka. With her fast reflex and body moving like a lithe who honed their skills to the fullest.

"That's annoying, Goldie." Kafka complained, her empty wine eyes darted between the king and the golden gate behind him.

"I should be the one to tell you that, mongrel. But impressive reflex, you have." The wands in the portal once again glowed, gathering more energy.

"Listen:Drop your weapon and stay still." Like a devil whispering to the king's ears, attempting to control Gilgamesh.

"That won't work, mongrel. A whisper capable of manipulating the mind, How boring." Gilgamesh simply shook off the whisper that attempted to control his body.

"Oh my, you're full of surprises aren't you, goldie." Kafka's eyes despite being empty–was now held in surprise. Not many could shake off her spirit whisper like it was nothing.

"Snort," A soft arrogant snort escaped from the king's mouth, as if he heard a joke.

"A mediocre yet annoying ability of yours won't work to this king. If you want to control me then go bring thousands of your whispers simultaneously and inject it to my brain." A sharp remark came out to his mouth, causing Kafka to grit her teeth silently.

"That arrogant nature of yours will get you killed someday." With a burst of strength, she lunged towards the king with incredible speed!

A crimson slice blurred in the existence, trying to sever the king into one single motion.

*Clang!*

Instead of body, Kafka felt a metal blocking her blade. A golden axe held by Gilgamesh in one hand–blocked her attack, and the stone tablet in his other arm glowed and runes appeared in existence.

And a ball of fire appeared in her optical view. The heat, greater than she felt, was like a star she was facing head on! With a twist of her body, the fire ball was narrowedly dodged by her.

"persistent bug." The wise king's battle axe and stone table disappeared into a motes of dusk. Confusing Kafka, her eyebrow furrowed and suddenly she remembered the script.

Her expression stunned. She got played. This man in front of her wasn't fighting her at all; rather he was playing with her, buying enough time to arrive for the reinforcement. Instead of anger, a smirk plastered in her face.

"Not bad, Goldie." She let down her sword.

"You've completely outplayed me, distracting me until it was too late to notice."

"You caught it pretty quick, I'll give you that." The wise king gave an arrogant smirk, crossing his arms and footsteps echoed behind Kafka.

"Stellaron hunter, Kafka. I'll be taking you to the Divination Commission, resistance is futile." There, a girl with pink hair with slit bangs and the center of her forehead was a purple gem, a large twin hairpin holding her hair into a twin tail yet bun style. A fading pink and black dress and white socks.

"You were pretty late, Master diviner." Kafka's voice resonates within the wind, delivering her words to Fu Xuan and Gilgamesh.

"Silence." Fu Xuan sharply replied back, as a purple rope made of energy tied her hands. And cloud knights emerged, grabbing her and dragging her to the starskiff.

"And you, identify yourself." Her expression is unreadable, stone yet too blunt.

"Insolent brat, who are you to ask such an impolite tone." Gilgamesh bluntly stared back at her. Though his voice was laced with anger.

"Master Diviner of the Xianzhou luofu's Divination Commission, Fu Xuan. There. I've introduced myself."

"I refused naming myself to an insolent brat like you."

Fu Xuan gritted her teeth, her fist clinching tightly as she glared at Gilgamesh with resentment.

"You-!!" Her words stop before inhaling the air.

"My apology." Her voice finally calms down.

"Accepted." He dismissively waved his hand.

"Your highness!"

Gilgamesh turned his head towards Tingyun who was running towards him, behind him was the Astral Express.

"'Highness'?" Fu Xuan's confused voice echoed.

"Took you long enough, Tingyun." He walked towards her, meeting her head on. Then his gaze shifted to the Astral Express.

"And, Voyages of space, followed that brat."

"Who are you calling brat?!" Fu Xuan snapped at him, her brows furrowed deeply.

"The answer you three were seeking is in the hand of that brat." March, Caelus, and Welt exchange their glances then back to Gilgamesh who's attention is now to Fu Xuan.

"Your sight is capable of reaching beyond the boundaries of existence yet you failed to grasp the intention of that woman, that alone tells you." Gilgamesh finally turned his head towards her.

"What do you mean?" Her voice was quiet and confused.

"A group of hounds following its master to the end of the universe for the sole purpose. Is your sight a decoration for others to show off."

Fu Xuan gritted her teeth, her large amber eyes glared at the crimson red eyes.

"I said, What do you mean by that!?"

"Heed my words, Fu Xuan. With your eyes, you will see things you shouldn't let others see, an impossible and absurdity will reveal itself before you, by then, prepare for the worst."

Thus he turned around and left them alone. Tingyun curiously shifted her eyes between them and the Astral Express.

"This… benefactors, this should be my last stop. I think his highness seems to be… in a bad mood." She revealed her sweetest smile at them.

"Oh… alright, Miss Tingyun. See you around." March sadly waved her hand at her.

"Thank you, Miss Tingyun." Caelus smiled back at her.

"Hm. If you have anything to ask, don't hesitate to tell us, we'll help you. Take it as compensation for your help." Welt thanked her gratefully as Tingyun nodded at them and immediately went to catch up to the wise king.

-_-_-_-_-+_+_+_+-_-

Upon catching up to the wise king, Tingyun, now behind Gilgamesh began to think about his words deeply. The way he spoke to that stellaron hunter Kafka– as if he already knew their intention in coming to Xianzhou Luofu. The silence stretches wider, leaving the sound of Children's laughter.

Then she took a deep breath, hesitating about what to say. Jade eyes darted to his back then to the surrounding before taking the courage to speak.

"Your majesty, can I ask something?" Her voice was as quiet and low as possible, but enough to make the king look back.

"What is it?" Her crimson eyes, unlike before which held arrogance and firmness, were now soft but still undeniable arrogance.

"The words you speak to Madam Fu Xuan… what does that mean?"

Gilgamesh eyes glance at her, before looking ahead. The golden sun gently kisses him, as if it naturally made it to.

"It's nothing, just the future I saw." He flatly replied back.

"Future you saw…?" Her eyes widened then.

"Then is his majesty a seer?!"

Gilgamesh stopped walking, he amusedly stared at her, the smile on his face like he just heard impressive jokes.

"Nonsense, I am the king, not a seer. But since you've asked, then naturally my eyes could see all creation. You should start revering me as that Aeon of Erudition, hahaha!"

He laughed loudly, earning glances from the random people, but he simply ignored them. His hand then went to her head, began ruffling her.

"Y-your majesty?!" The sudden act causes Tingyun to feel embarrassed– being treated like a child.

Then once again the golden gate opened and spit out a golden necklace, he placed it to her neck and hung it there. The wise king nodded proudly and Tingyun was even more confused as to why he suddenly made her wear a necklace without her consent.

"What is this?" Tingyun touched the golden necklace, feeling the warm heat instead of cold.

"Your protection." He answered two words, before continuing walking towards the balcony.

"Tingyun, do you wish to save this ship?" The wise king stared at the sun, waiting for her reply.

"I mean… it's my home, so I guess..?" She answered in ambiguity.

"Ho, wise words, because right now, I'm helping you saving this world of yours." With a light smirk, he gesture Tingyun to follow him.

"Let's go to this… divination commission, and we'll be guiding those voyages to their unpredictable journey."

"Yes, your higness!"

"Call me Gilgamesh, you've earned the worth to stand besides me, Tingyun."

Tingyun gave her biggest smile to the wise king, before following him. With their steps already planning their future, will once again, the king shall use his force to shatter the destiny that was meant for Tingyun.
