Chapter 27: The First Trial of Blood
Soft golden morning sunlight streamed through the windows. Everyone sat quietly around the dining table, eating breakfast. The atmosphere was peaceful, yet everyone knew that today would change Wang's life forever.
While placing his teacup on the table, Rin's father said,
"Rin told me that you're taking Wang to my laboratory today for his training?"
Obito respectfully nodded.
"Yes, Father. Today marks the beginning of his true training."
Rin's father looked at Wang with a gentle smile.
"Good luck, Wang. I hope you'll face every trial with courage."
Wang silently nodded.
After breakfast, Obito, Rin, and Wang left Tokyo and headed toward a vast forest outside the city.
As their car traveled deeper into the woods, the trees grew denser and the silence became heavier.
Wang looked at his mother with curiosity.
"Mom... what are we doing in the middle of a forest?"
Rin smiled.
"This entire forest belongs to our family. In the center stands an old house, and beneath it lies your grandfather's secret laboratory."
"Your training will take place there. If your powers ever go out of control, no innocent person will be harmed... and you'll be safe as well."
A few minutes later, they stopped in front of a huge but abandoned-looking mansion.
The walls were marked by the passage of time.
Dust covered the windows.
Yet something felt strangely out of place...
State-of-the-art surveillance cameras were installed at every corner of the building.
It was as if the world's greatest secret was hidden inside those ancient walls.
The three of them entered the house.
Dust covered everything.
The old furniture had fallen apart.
Spider webs hung from the ceiling.
Rin led them into a specific room.
An old painting hung on the wall.
She removed it.
Behind it was a perfectly clean steel wall.
Rin gently placed her hand against it.
Instantly, blue light spread across the entire surface.
A few moments later, a hidden doorway appeared.
A biometric scanner lit up in the center.
First, Rin placed her hand on it.
Then Obito.
Finally, Wang.
Access Granted.
The massive steel door slowly opened.
Behind it was a high-tech elevator.
The three stepped inside.
Silently, the elevator descended deep beneath the earth.
A few moments later, the doors opened.
Wang's eyes widened in amazement.
An incredibly advanced underground laboratory stretched before him.
Sophisticated machines, holographic displays, robotic arms, and glowing blue technology filled every corner.
Wang looked around in disbelief.
"Mom... what did Grandpa do here?"
Rin answered softly,
"Your grandfather was once a space politician. This laboratory was the center of his secret research."
Obito led Wang into another chamber.
Rin followed.
The room was built with reinforced concrete, a special metal alloy, and multiple energy-absorbing layers.
Rin said,
"This room is so strong that even a nuclear weapon couldn't destroy it."
"From today onward, the rest of your training will take place here."
Obito looked directly into Wang's eyes.
"Tell me the truth..."
"Do you truly love Hinata... and your unborn child?"
Without hesitating for even a second, Wang answered,
"Yes... more than my own life."
Obito slowly nodded.
"Good."
"Then let's begin."
The next moment, Obito raised his hand.
The air inside the room began to swirl violently.
Within seconds, it condensed into a transparent but razor-sharp sword.
The color drained from Rin's face.
"Obito...!"
But before she could react—
Slash!
The blade of air cut across Wang's chest.
His clothes were torn apart.
A long wound opened across his chest.
Bright red blood began to flow.
Pain was clearly visible in Obito's eyes...
Yet he did not stop.
Wang collapsed to his knees, crying out in agony.
Tears filled his eyes.
Obito's voice echoed throughout the chamber.
"Stop crying!"
"That wound isn't deep enough to kill you!"
Rin could no longer endure it.
Tears streamed down her face.
She ran out of the room.
Now only father and son remained.
Obito shouted,
"Feel the air inside your body!"
"Guide it to the wound!"
"Stop the bleeding!"
But the overwhelming pain shattered Wang's concentration.
A few moments later...
His eyes closed.
He collapsed unconscious onto the floor.
Obito immediately rushed to him.
He raised his hand.
Moisture in the air slowly gathered together.
Within moments, a transparent sphere of water floated above his palm.
He poured the water over Wang's wound.
The water glowed with a soft blue light.
A few seconds later...
The wound had completely disappeared.
It was as if it had never existed.
Obito lifted Wang into his arms and carried him toward the medical room.
The moment Rin saw her unconscious son...
She burst into tears.
"What have you done...?"
"He's our son!"
Obito replied quietly,
"He only lost consciousness because of the pain and blood loss."
After reaching the medical room, Rin immediately began giving Wang a blood transfusion.
Then she turned toward Obito with anger.
"Why did you slash him with a sword in the name of training?"
Obito answered calmly,
"I intentionally made only a small wound."
"I wanted him to learn how to control the air within his body... how to stop bleeding... and how to awaken his body's natural healing abilities."
"If he's ever attacked..."
"And there's no doctor nearby..."
"He must know how to keep himself alive."
Obito lowered his eyes.
"Believe me... no one suffered more than I did while hurting him."
Tears filled Rin's eyes once again.
She whispered,
"I'm sorry..."
Obito gave a faint smile.
"You don't need to apologize."
Meanwhile...
In Ahnes...
Beyond the sea...
A mysterious figure stood within a sea of black mist.
Before the figure, thousands of humanoid beings knelt in complete silence.
None of their faces could be seen.
Only a deep, echoing voice spread across the endless horizon.
"The Blessing of the Sun that never rises..."
"The Blessing of the Moon that never appears in the sky..."
"When you bow before me... I can grant you my blessing."
"Humanity's true nature is ingratitude, violence, and rage..."
"...Such things can never exist within Ahnes."
As the voice faded...
The entire sea fell into an unnatural silence.
Was that figure a human...?
Or a god...?
For now...
No one knew the answer.
