CLASSHERO SESSION
Chapter 2: The First Punch
The video recorded by Surya spread across Imperial National University, Mumbai, before the day had even ended.
Students whispered in every corridor.
"The topper exposed Yash."
"Did you see how calm he was?"
"Yash actually got outsmarted."
For the first time since joining the university, Surya had become the center of attention.
But he didn't care.
The next afternoon, after classes ended, Surya walked toward the library with a book in his hand.
Behind him, Yash watched with burning anger.
"He made me look like a fool," Yash muttered.
His friends, Kabir and Rohan, stood beside him.
"What now?" Kabir asked.
Yash smiled coldly.
"We settle this outside."
...
Surya entered a quiet passage behind the sports complex.
Suddenly...
"Stop right there."
Surya turned around.
Yash, Kabir, and Rohan blocked the path.
"There are no professors here," Yash said. "No cameras either."
Surya closed his book.
"What do you want?"
"A simple apology."
"I've done nothing wrong."
Yash stepped closer.
"You embarrassed me."
"You embarrassed yourself."
The words hit harder than a slap.
Without warning...
Yash threw the first punch.
Surya tilted his head.
The punch missed.
Yash lost his balance.
Before he could react, Surya pushed him back with one hand.
Yash stumbled several steps.
Kabir rushed forward.
Surya grabbed Kabir's wrist, twisted it, and used his momentum to throw him onto the ground.
Rohan charged next.
Surya sidestepped and landed a quick punch to Rohan's stomach.
Rohan fell to his knees, gasping for air.
Yash couldn't believe what he was seeing.
"Who are you?" he shouted.
Surya looked at him calmly.
"My grandfather taught me one lesson."
"Never start a fight..."
"...but never run from one."
Enraged, Yash attacked again.
This time, Surya blocked the punch and struck Yash once across the face.
Yash crashed onto the ground.
Silence.
Only heavy breathing echoed through the passage.
Several students had gathered nearby.
They had witnessed everything.
"The topper defeated all three..."
"He's actually strong."
"No wonder he stayed calm."
Yash slowly stood up, wiping blood from the corner of his lip.
His pride was shattered.
"You'll regret this," he said before walking away with Kabir and Rohan.
As the crowd dispersed, a nervous voice called out.
"Surya..."
He turned around.
A thin boy wearing glasses stood there.
"My name is Aman Verma."
Surya recognized him.
Aman was from the same class but rarely spoke to anyone.
"I... I need to tell you something."
"What is it?"
Aman lowered his head.
"Yesterday... Yash forced me to distract you while he planned to frame you."
Surya remained silent.
"I'm sorry," Aman continued. "I was scared."
"You don't have to apologize," Surya replied. "You admitted your mistake."
Aman looked surprised.
"You... you're not angry?"
"No."
For the first time that day, Surya gave a faint smile.
"Everyone deserves a second chance."
Aman smiled back.
At that moment, an elegant girl walking across the campus noticed the two boys.
Her name was Aditi Rao, one of the brightest students in the Department of Literature.
She had quietly watched the fight from a distance.
"Interesting," she whispered.
"Surya Sharma... you're nothing like the rumors."
As Surya and Aman walked toward the library, neither of them noticed Yash standing on the rooftop of the parking building.
His eyes were filled with hatred.
"You think you've won?"
He pulled out his phone and dialed a number.
The call connected.
"Bhai..."
"I need your help."
A deep voice answered from the other side.
"Who dares touch my brother?"
Yash smiled.
"His name is Surya."
The voice replied calmly,
"Then tell him..."
"...his real nightmare begins tomorrow."
