Seth led Leo into his cabin.
The room was elegant and modern, with glass walls revealing a breathtaking view of the city below. Everything about it reflected power and control. Seth walked confidently to his chair and sat down, crossing one leg over the other.
"Please, Leo," Seth said calmly, gesturing toward the seat in front of him. "Have a seat."
Leo's eyes burned with anger as he stared at Seth, but he still walked forward and sat down.
There was a heavy silence between them.
Leo broke it first.
"Now tell me," Leo said, his voice sharp, "why did my father come here? Why was he meeting you?"
Seth leaned back in his chair, a smirk slowly forming on his face.
"Oh… so you were following your father?" Seth said. "I see. Looks like you don't trust him very much, do you, Leo?"
Leo's jaw tightened.
"Yes, I followed him," Leo replied coldly. "And it's because of you. Now answer me—what is my father doing with you and your father?"
Seth chuckled softly.
"I see… so he didn't tell you anything," Seth said. "Interesting. Maybe your father doesn't trust you after all."
Leo's eyes darkened.
Seth continued, his tone turning mocking.
"I mean, just look at you… and your so-called brother, Werren. The way you both behaved that day—especially him. So arrogant, thinking he's above everyone."
Leo's anger rose instantly.
"Don't you dare talk about my brother like that!" Leo snapped.
But Seth didn't stop.
"Oh, really?" he said with a smirk. "Your brother actually thinks he can win against us. But listen carefully, Leo… this time, things are different. People are afraid of us now. And anyone who dares to stand against us… won't end well."
Leo stood up suddenly and grabbed Seth by the collar.
"I said don't talk about him like that!" Leo shouted, his voice filled with fury.
Seth didn't resist. Instead, he looked at Leo calmly… and smirked.
"Then maybe you should hear this," Seth said quietly.
Leo froze slightly.
"Your father…" Seth continued, his voice steady, "is working with us."
For a moment, everything went silent.
Leo slowly released Seth's collar, stepping back as if the ground beneath him had disappeared.
"No…" Leo whispered. "That's not possible. You're lying."
Seth stood up and adjusted his collar.
"Am I?" he said. "Think about it, Leo. Why do you think your father came here? Mr. Miles has been meeting us for the past week."
Leo shook his head.
"No… I don't believe you. Someone like you? I can't trust a single word you say."
Seth's expression remained calm.
"You saw it yourself, didn't you?" he said. "Your father shaking hands with mine… with me. Do rivals do that, Leo?"
Leo's chest tightened.
His breathing became heavy.
No… it can't be true…
Seth's tone grew serious now.
"I was surprised too when he came to us," Seth said. "But after what he told us… my father and I agreed to work with him."
Leo's world felt like it was collapsing.
He turned away, unable to face Seth anymore.
"I don't believe this…" Leo muttered.
"You asked for the truth," Seth said from behind him. "And now you have it."
Leo walked out of the cabin.
The hallway felt endless.
Everything around him was blurry, like his mind refused to process what he had just heard. People passed by him, but their faces didn't register.
All he could hear was Seth's voice echoing in his head.
"Your father is working with us…"
Leo walked outside and got into his car. His hands trembled as he started driving.
His thoughts were everywhere.
Why would father do this?
Was everything a lie?
Why didn't he tell me?
Suddenly, his grip on the steering wheel slipped.
"Oh—!" Leo gasped, quickly regaining control.
His heart was racing.
He immediately stopped the car on the side of the road.
Breathing heavily, he stepped out.
He couldn't drive like this.
He started walking aimlessly down the street.
The sky above him slowly darkened, heavy clouds gathering. A cold wind began to blow.
Leo didn't notice.
He kept walking.
Lost.
Broken.
Confused.
"I don't know what to believe anymore…" Leo whispered.
The first raindrop fell on his shoulder.
Then another.
Soon, it started raining.
People around him rushed for shelter, but Leo didn't move. He just kept walking, letting the rain soak him completely.
His clothes clung to his body, his hair dripping—but he didn't care.
It felt like everything inside him was collapsing.
By the time Leo reached home, it was already dark.
He was completely drenched.
As he entered, Mr. Daniel rushed toward him in shock.
"Sir Leo! Oh my God—you're all wet!" he exclaimed. "Where were you? Please, you need to change your clothes or you'll get sick!"
But Leo didn't respond.
He walked past him silently.
Step by step… toward his room.
But then—
He stopped.
Standing in front of his door…
Was Mr. Miles.
Leo looked at him.
His eyes filled with a mix of sadness, anger, and disbelief.
Mr. Miles immediately grew concerned.
"Leo! What happened? You're completely soaked," he said. "Why are you so late? Where have you been?"
There was a pause.
Leo took a slow step forward.
"And you?" Leo said quietly.
Mr. Miles froze.
Leo's voice trembled—but not with weakness. With pain.
"Where were you, father?" he asked.
His eyes locked onto Mr. Miles.
"Or should I ask…" Leo continued, his tone growing sharper, "what were you doing with Seth… and his father?"
Silence filled the space between them.
The truth was no longer hidden.
And this time—
There was no escape.
