The entire mountain continued trembling beneath the weight of the creature rising from the abyss below.
Black mist poured endlessly through the widening fracture beneath the council hall while shattered stone collapsed into the darkness beneath it. The Gate Titan remained frozen near the edge of the abyss, its enormous eyes fixed downward with visible tension as the thing beneath the world slowly climbed closer to the surface.
Ariana had never imagined something powerful enough to frighten a Titan could exist.
But she felt the truth of it now through the Sovereign flame burning around her body.
The dragons surrounding the territory felt it too.
Fear crashed violently through the connection between them while enormous golden wings beat uneasily through the storm-darkened skies above the mountains. Even the wounded dragon beside Ariana trembled harder despite the golden light still spreading slowly beneath its corrupted scales.
