Chapter 185
The roar rising from beneath the mountain did not sound like anything Ariana had ever heard before.
It rolled upward through the widening fracture beneath the council hall with enough force to shake the entire territory. The sound felt older than the dragons circling above the mountains and heavier than the storms darkening the skies overhead.
The entire chamber fell silent.
Every dragon above the territory stopped roaring at once. Golden wings froze against the storm clouds while fire faded from enormous jaws. Wolves inside the shattered council hall stood motionless, their eyes locked on the abyss splitting the chamber apart.
Even the wounded dragon beside Ariana lifted its massive head sharply toward the darkness below.
Then the Gate Titan stopped moving too.
That frightened Ariana more than the roar itself.
