"Cafe, slow down..."
"Trainer, sorry... I'm almost..."
The faint sounds of two people came from the room, muffled by the heavy door and thick walls. Passersby didn't hear a thing; otherwise, someone surely would have come looking. This was, after all, the male employee dormitory. The sounds continued until the early hours, finally ending with the silence of the man's voice.
The next morning, the sound of birdsong broke the silence of Tracen. The room was peaceful and quiet, filled with a drowsy atmosphere.Luo Cheng lay in bed, dazed. Beside him, the duvet rustled like a small kitten was moving beneath it, and a black-haired girl poked her head out.
"Trainer... you're awake."
"Mm."
"Sorry, Trainer. I might have gotten a bit carried away... I didn't consider your feelings enough..."
"It's fine..."
Luo Cheng had already grown used to the dual nature of horse girls. No matter how gentle they seemed on the surface, they all had a wild side. Fortunately, he exercised every day. Living in a world like this, one couldn't afford to be undisciplined; otherwise, his stamina wouldn't hold up. Even if he couldn't reach the level of a horse girl, he at least had to train his endurance.
In the game world, all of Luo Cheng's exhaustion would vanish after a single sleep. No matter how terrible his condition was before bed, he seemed to be able to "refresh" his physical state through sleep. Because of this, even if he tried to end it all, he probably wouldn't succeed—the "system refresh" would just bring him back to life.
In the real world, however, he didn't have this special ability. His body was that of an ordinary human.
Looking at Cafe, who was acting as clingy as a black cat, Luo Cheng toyed with her tail. He remembered that in the past, whenever he touched it, Cafe would instinctively lower her waist—a movement exactly like a cat's.
"My 'friend' kept pushing my waist... I wanted to go slower... but I couldn't..."
"Hmm? What did you just say?" Luo Cheng didn't quite catch her murmur.
"Trainer... do you have plans today?"
"A few." He needed to go out with Seiun Sky to trigger her story event. "I'll be out in a—"
Knock, knock, knock—
Just as the words left his mouth, a knock sounded at the door. For some reason, Luo Cheng felt the tension of "the last human on Earth hearing a knock." It felt like an eternity since he'd heard that sound, but he quickly snapped out of it. Someone was here.
"Trainer, are you there?" Seiun Sky's voice came from outside.
Sky? Why is she here now!
Luo Cheng glanced at Cafe. He couldn't tell if she'd heard Sky's voice, but she was still clinging to him in bed. If these two ran into each other, it would be a disaster. You can hold a horse girl, you can change poses and movements, but if you get caught holding one while the other is right there—well, let's just say the "romance film" would turn into a "horror film" in seconds.
A horse girl sleeping with you ≠ You being allowed to sleep with other horse girls.
Luo Cheng scrambled out of bed, scooped Cafe up, and stuffed her into the wardrobe.
"Don't come out until I've opened and closed the door." After giving her the instruction, Luo Cheng opened the door to find Seiun Sky standing there with a fishing rod and a tackle box.
Seeing him, Sky's lips curved into a smirk.
"You're so slow, Trainer. What were you doing? Surely you weren't doing something 'bad' behind Sei-chan's back? No, that can't be it."
"I just woke up. You're certainly up early."
Sky looked at the man's body—he was wearing nothing but his underwear. "Trainer... I just realized, you have a really nice physique." Sky extended a fair finger and traced the well-defined muscles on his chest.
"Too bad it's still nothing compared to a horse girl."
"You shouldn't put it that way. In front of a horse girl, a Trainer is always the weaker party. A man's muscles aren't about combat power; they're about image. They provide a sense of security... and of course, they boost a girl's affection. For example, Sei-chan's affection for you is 'bling-bling' rising right now."
Sky wiggled her fingers, providing her own sound effects. No wonder the 'Game Sky' was always so fond of rubbing against me.
Just as Sky's touch was becoming addictive, a sudden thump came from the wardrobe, breaking her focus.
"Hm? Is someone in there?"
"Probably just something falling over... Should we head out now?" Luo Cheng diverted the topic.
"No rush. Get yourself ready first, Trainer. Have you had breakfast? Fishing is a time-consuming hobby; you won't last if you don't eat."
"I haven't."
"You really don't know how to take care of yourself, do you? I guess I'll have to make something for you."
With that, Sky set her fishing gear aside, walked into the kitchen, and tied on an apron.
[Seiun Sky: Apron Outfit Unlocked]
A line of text flashed before Luo Cheng's eyes. Apron? Unlocked? What is this now? After months of nothing, a new system feature had suddenly popped up.
"Trainer, are you captivated by Sei-chan's apron?" she asked, holding a spoon with a beaming smile. She looked every bit the virtuous wife and mother. Luo Cheng felt that replacing the word "Trainer" with "Husband" would feel perfectly natural.
Another sound came from the wardrobe. Luo Cheng finally snapped out of Sky's "waifu charm." He dashed into the bathroom to wash up. Soon, a table full of food was served.
"No need to rush, Trainer." Watching him attack the food, Sky pulled her chair closer and sat beside him. "We have plenty of time. And besides... it's just the two of us in this room."
She blew a breath into his ear, a mischievous smirk on her face. "Trainer, are you nervous? Being alone in a room with Sei-chan? How pure of you."
Pure, my foot! Is there anyone more corrupted than me in this world? Among transmigrators, he was an absolute outlier, facing his desires without a shred of shame. To be honest, if it weren't for Cafe being right there in the closet, he'd have "claimed" Sky right now. He could only pray Cafe didn't pull a "Teio" and burst out for a "Double Horse War."
"You're so cute, Trainer." Sky wagged her tail as she watched Luo Cheng devour her cooking.
"Let's go."
"I know, I know. We finally have some alone time, what's the rush?"
Well, technically there were two girls in the room, so Sky didn't push it further.
"You go out first. I'll turn off the water and electricity."
"Hurry up then, Trainer."
Sky stepped out of the room. Once she was gone, Luo Cheng opened the wardrobe. Cafe was huddled inside like a porcelain doll, wrapped in Luo Cheng's jacket.
"Cafe, I'm heading out for a bit." Luo Cheng carried her back to the bed. "Just hang out here. You don't need to lock the door." With that, he hurried out.
Once the room returned to silence, the duvet on the bed moved on its own, covering the already sleeping Cafe.
