Teio felt even better than before. Her body was fragrant, and her waist had become even more supple. After solving the "second problem," Luo Cheng took the glowing Teio to the track. He tested her in her training shoes, then in her racing shoes.
The difference in their times was 0.6 seconds.
Luo Cheng didn't know if the shoes had the same effect in reality, but in this game world, the item provided a concrete boost. Are there even crazier items out there? Something that could make Teio fly?
Regardless, he made a mental note to buy more things in the real world. Food, sporting goods—anything that could boost her strength. It would provide a safety net for his training. He couldn't guarantee his plans were always optimal, and every race had different requirements.
Uma Musume varied in their training difficulty. Teio was middle-of-the-road; unlike those where you just spam speed, her stats needed to be balanced. Speed, Stamina, and Intelligence were crucial for her to win consistently. Currently, Luo Cheng was raising her as an "all-rounder" with no particular specialty.
"Trainer~"
While Luo Cheng was recording the stats in his notebook, Teio nuzzled against him, her ears twitching. A game character shouldn't have thoughts, but her affectionate behavior clearly transcended the system. Yet she wasn't quite "human" either; when he tried to talk to her, she only had her fixed dialogue.
Teio... don't you have a 'Character Story' I can trigger? Luo Cheng was starting to miss that other world again.
He patted Teio and sent her off to play, then went looking for Seiun Sky. She was almost certainly sleeping in the grass somewhere. Sure enough, he found her by the track, her shirt pulled up in her sleep to reveal her pale stomach and cute navel. Luo Cheng walked over and rubbed her belly; it felt like a sponge made of white jade.
At his touch, Sky opened her azure eyes, looked at him, and then closed them again. This girl... where's your fixed dialogue? Your training task? It's all being overwritten by sleep!
As Luo Cheng was about to mess with her further, he noticed a new option in her status bar.
"Outfit Swap?"
He'd never seen this on anyone else. Only Sky had this button. Luo Cheng reached out and tapped it. A prompt appeared:
[Available Outfits: Apron]
He remembered the notification when she'd put on the apron. Unlock Outfit. He tapped the apron option. A flash of blue light filled his vision. When he looked down, the sleeping Sky was suddenly wearing the apron.
You really can swap outfits! This was very much like a game. The mobile game allowed for outfit swaps, too.
I wish I could do this in reality. Luo Cheng wondered what kind of expressions they'd make if their clothes suddenly changed. He supposed these events would be erased from their memories anyway. Perhaps they are currently living in a world completely different from mine.
Luo Cheng looked at Sky and pulled her shirt down to cover her stomach. As he was about to leave, a small hand hooked around his ankle. Sky had silently wrapped her arms around his leg, holding it like a pillow. Her behavior pattern had changed slightly, too.
Wait, you weren't even asleep, were you! If he wasn't currently "empty" from his session with Teio, he'd definitely have disciplined her.
Sky's ears twitched lazily. Influenced by her, Luo Cheng decided to rest for a bit.
"Sky, did you get transported back with me?" Luo Cheng lay down beside her. "In your memory, how did we get back?"
Sky didn't answer. She buried her head in his chest and slept peacefully. "It must be nice to not have to think about anything. Maybe I should just spend all day sleeping like you..." Luo Cheng held her soft body, breathing in the relaxing scent of her hair, and closed his eyes.
But just as he drifted off, Tokai Teio appeared out of nowhere and scooped him up.
"Teio?"
Her azure eyes reflected his face. she acted as if she were carrying out a command, taking Luo Cheng away from Sky.
"I know I gave that command! but you can't even let it slide once! Can't I just nap with Sky for a bit!"
Teio remained unmoved.
"Three times! From now on, you get three chances. Only after I've slept by her three times can you take me away. Do you hear me?" Luo Cheng adjusted his command. Teio set him down and nodded. "Yes."
Being jostled by Teio had chased away his sleepiness. A man nearly 180cm tall, being carried at high speed by a girl who barely reached his chest. Horse girls were terrifying.
"Trainer."
"Waaah!" The sudden voice gave Luo Cheng a fright. He turned to find the black-haired, golden-eyed girl: Manhattan Cafe.
"Oh, it's just Cafe." Luo Cheng let out a sigh of relief. she appeared without a sound.
"What is... today's training task?" Cafe spoke slowly.
Right, you're my horse girl now, too. "I still need to arrange things... eh?"
Luo Cheng noticed that upon Cafe's arrival, Teio's mood began to drop rapidly. -1, -1, -1... Within seconds, she went from [Perfect] to [Terrible], her ears drooping dejectedly.
This... could it be that what happened between Teio and Cafe in reality is affecting the game? This connection even extended to system judgments. Not just for contracts, but other real-world events were clearly influencing the game.
Unlike Teio, Cafe showed no change; her mood remained [Good]. This likely had to do with her personality. she was used to being an outsider and had a steady temperament. Teio, on the other hand, was like a child and easily prone to tantrums. Luo Cheng could already imagine the "Real Teio" pouting at Cafe while clinging to him.
"How about... I get you both something good to eat?"
