Chapter 34 - Chapter 34 : The Reunion

Years Later – Jay's POV

Life had been cruel.

But it made me stronger.

After isolating myself and undergoing treatment, I chose not to return.

Because even though the doctors said I was better…

I was still afraid.

Afraid I might hurt the people I loved.

So I stayed away.

I started from nothing.

No family.

No friends.

Just me.

And my dream.

Becoming a doctor.

But it wasn't easy.

To pay my medical university fees, I worked three part-time jobs.

Morning shift at a clinic.

Evening shift at a pharmacy.

Night shift at a café.

Many nights I studied while barely staying awake.

But I refused to give up.

Years passed.

Slowly…

My hard work paid off.

I graduated at the top of my class.

Then I specialized in trauma surgery.

Eventually…

I became the top trauma surgeon in the entire Philippines.

But even with success…

Something always felt missing.

Keifer.

Keifer's POV

Years had passed.

But I never stopped searching.

I became the CEO of Watson Empire, the number one company in the world.

But success meant nothing without her.

Every achievement reminded me of the one person who wasn't there.

Jay.

The only clue that she was alive came from a company.

K&J Corporation.

The second most powerful company in the world.

It was originally Jay's company.

But the CEO was never seen publicly.

Which meant only one thing.

Jay was still controlling it.

But from the shadows.

Jay's POV – The Meeting Notice

One day I received an urgent notification.

Emergency Board Meeting – Mandatory CEO Attendance

If I didn't attend…

The company could face huge financial losses.

I stared at the message.

For years I had avoided public appearances.

But this time…

I had no choice.

I rescheduled all my surgeries for the next day.

And prepared for the meeting.

But something inside me felt uneasy.

Like fate was waiting.

The Meeting

The conference room was filled with executives.

I entered quietly.

Everyone stood respectfully.

"Good afternoon, CEO Jay."

I nodded slightly.

But the moment I looked up—

My heart stopped.

At the other end of the table stood a man I knew too well.

Keifer Watson.

He looked older.

Stronger.

More powerful.

But his eyes…

Were the same.

For a moment neither of us spoke.

Then his eyes widened in shock.

"Jay…?"

The room fell silent.

Years of separation collapsed in one single moment.

And the two people who spent years searching for each other…

Were finally standing face to face again.
