After stabilizing their cultivation, Ren and the others emerged from the meditation rooms, only to be cornered by Senior Wuyou, who spent the entire morning bragging about his new internet fame.
Once the senior finally paused for breath, Ren spoke up: "Senior, with our current means, the trauma to your soul is still difficult to repair fully. You'll need to rely on your internal energy to sustain yourself for a while longer. Once Mu Tiancai deciphers the Celestial bloodline and masters their Holy Light Healing, we can perform a complete treatment for you."
Wuyou waved his hand dismissively. "Let nature take its course. I've lived for over a thousand years anyway; I've already made a profit on this life." To him, life and death were now trivial matters.
Suddenly, Bai Xiaofei interjected: "The battle over there isn't over yet, and prisoners from the Hell Prison are still pouring out. We should go deal with them."
Although they had returned to Yanhuang, the clash between Gabriel and the Fallen Angel at the threshold of the Gate was still raging. The battle between two Super-God levels was something Earth's ordinary God-level masters couldn't interfere with; they could only watch as the sky was torn asunder and the resulting tsunamis threatened coastal cities.
Latest reports indicated that the world's God-level experts, including the Yanhuang Guardian, Qinglong, had gathered near the Red Sea to assist Gabriel in taking down the Fallen Angel.
Ren nodded. "Alright. Tiancai, you stay home and research the Celestial DNA. Xiaofei and I will go help Gabriel finish this."
Senior Wuyou, true to his new passion, stayed behind to scroll through short videos. With Ren and Xiaofei's current strength, he didn't need to worry, and his injuries made him unsuitable for a front-line brawl anyway.
Ren and Xiaofei took to the sky, crossing the distance from Yanhuang to the Red Sea in an instant. Gabriel and the Fallen Angel had been fighting for a day and a night, their battlefield shifting from Europe to the Middle East.
When the duo arrived, the gold and black streaks of light were still clashing in a fever pitch. For Super-God levels, a day of combat was merely a warm-up; without external interference, they could fight indefinitely.
The arrival of the two new auras caused both combatants to pause.
"Slaughter Blade!"
Xiaofei didn't waste a second. He swung his blade, sending a ten-meter-long dark red crescent of sword-qi screaming toward the Fallen Angel!
Gabriel let out a mental sigh of relief—she had half-feared these two might be coming to backstab her.
Boom!
The Fallen Angel swatted the blade-qi aside, but he didn't emerge unscathed; a deep, bone-chilling gash appeared on his arm. Worse, the wound was infested with a lingering killing intent that resisted his natural regeneration.
"Interesting," the Fallen Angel sneered, looking at Ren and Xiaofei. "Gentlemen, my only target is this Celestial. I have no interest in Earth. If you help me kill her, I'll take her body back into the Hell Prison and promise never to come out again. How about it?"
He was clever, offering terms that seemed purely beneficial to the humans. An ordinary person might have hesitated. But standing before him was Ren—a man who had just reached the Super-God level.
Ren does whatever he wants! No one tells him how to act!
Xiaofei was even more direct. Without a single word of nonsense, his body blurred into an afterimage, appearing instantly in front of the Fallen Angel. His fist glowed with a dull, dark red light—it looked unremarkable, but it made the Fallen Angel's scalp tingle with alarm!
"Killing God Ninth Form: Boundless Path of Slaughter!"
BOOM!
The punch landed squarely on the Fallen Angel's torso. At the moment of impact, the entire sky turned a bruised, dark red. The shockwave tore a literal hole in the atmosphere, parting the clouds into a void that stretched as far as the eye could see!
Yet, in front of Xiaofei, the Fallen Angel let out a maniacal laugh. Even with a massive hole punched through his chest, the crazed entity acted as if he felt no pain. A lethal wound like that didn't slow him down for a second.
Xiaofei's pupils shrunk. Just as he tried to retract his arm and retreat, the Fallen Angel grabbed his wrist with a vice-like grip. "Since you refuse... then let there be war!"
CRACK!
The Fallen Angel buried a fist in Xiaofei's abdomen, sending him hurtling backward. Then, with a flap of his skeletal wings, he surged toward Gabriel! His objective remained unchanged: the Celestial's body. If he secured her, his long-sought goal would finally be within reach!
Ren intercepted him, spear in hand. "Another one!" the Fallen Angel roared, his eyes wide with madness. "Why must all of you stand in my way?! I only want one Celestial body! What does that have to do with you humans?!"
Ren shot back without hesitation: "I do what I want. Since when do I need you to teach me how to move?! Divine Dragon Spear!"
He lunged. A lifelike white dragon phantom materialized, snapping its jaws shut and engulfing the Fallen Angel!
BANG!
The spear pierced through the Angel's torso, and a brilliant explosion bloomed in the sky. But the Fallen Angel was a man possessed; even with his body in tatters, his speed didn't slacken. He remained a heat-seeking missile aimed directly at Gabriel.
Gabriel's expression darkened. Two golden orbs behind her transformed into massive golden fists. Instantly, an overwhelming barrage of fist-shadows rained down on the Fallen Angel!
Thud-thud-thud-thud!
Under the relentless sonic booms, the Fallen Angel's already broken body was reduced to a pulp, leaving only his head intact.
"Holy Light Restoration!"
A flash of golden light, and he was instantly whole again. He laughed at Gabriel. "Hahaha! I was once a Celestial too! As long as a single breath remains, I can restore myself from any attack!"
Then, his face, previously full of bravado, was suddenly covered in tears as he began to wail: "Aaaaaagh! Restoration! I can restore anything! I can fix everything! But why... why couldn't I save you?! Aaaaaagh!"
Faced with the emotional breakdown of the Fallen Angel, Gabriel showed no mercy. She spoke coldly: "And for the sake of resurrecting one person, you slaughtered three Level 3 civilizations? You used the lives of every being on over a dozen planets to fuel your ritual array?"
"YES! If it can bring her back, I would create an ocean of slaughter and fall into infinite hell without a second thought!"
"Incorrigible!"
BOOM!
The battle resumed. These two were veterans of the Super-God level; Ren and Xiaofei, having just stepped into this realm, found it difficult to find an opening in their high-speed exchange.
Gabriel's strength is definitely higher than before, Ren thought. The Holy Lord must have given her a massive power-up before he died.
Spotting a gap, Ren sliced his palm with his fingernail and pointed toward the fray.
"Gran Rey Cero!"
VROOOOM—!
A blinding white light tore across the sky, its searing heat instantly vaporizing half of the Fallen Angel's torso!
The sudden intensity of the strike even startled Gabriel. She looked down to see Ren wearing a confident, cocky smirk.
This guy! Gabriel thought. For a moment, the memory of the "sensations" she felt while her soul was in the demon's body resurfaced, making her feel incredibly strange.
But now wasn't the time. The Fallen Angel was also shaken by the power of the blast, but seeing the blood on Ren's hand, he laughed. "Attacking with your own essence? Kid, you've just broken through. How many times can you pull off a move like that?"
"I don't know," Ren replied, flicking more blood and condensing his Reiatsu. "Why don't you help me test it out?"
"Gran Rey Cero!"
