Chapter 118 - Can the Holy Lord Still be Resurrected?

BOOM!

Another beam of searing light tore through the sky. Sensing the terrifying power contained within, the Fallen Angel finally grew cautious. His body flickered, leaving a trail of afterimages as he narrowly evaded the strike.

But the moment he came to a halt, Ren launched another attack. Forced into a corner, the Fallen Angel could only retreat once more.

This kind of attack fueled by essence blood definitely can't last long. I'll see just how many more times you can fire! the Fallen Angel muttered to himself while dodging.

Sure enough, after a few more volleys, Ren ceased fire.

"It's no good. This guy is too fast; I can't land a clean hit on him."

"Super-God: Holy Light Restoration!"

A pillar of golden light descended upon Ren. It was Gabriel. She had unleashed a Super-God level healing art, instantly replenishing the essence blood Ren had expended in his barrage.

"Thanks!"

Gabriel gave a cold, regal nod. "The two of you support me. If the three of us strike together, we can surely kill him."

"Alright."

Ren and Bai Xiaofei nodded in unison. The trio transformed into three streaks of light, lunging at the Fallen Angel as the cataclysmic battle reignited.

On the ground.

Ran Aiguo stood beside Master Denghai, sighing with a mix of awe and frustration. "We all went in for a stroll, but those two came out as Super-Gods while I'm only at the Late God-level. What a failure..."

The experts standing nearby were speechless at his words. They had spent countless years of grueling cultivation to reach the Late God-level. The American from Black Fire had even gambled his life just to reach his current Peak God-level strength.

Meanwhile, Ran Aiguo had essentially gone on a "guided tour" of the Hell Prison, following several peak-level powerhouses and reaping the rewards. He entered as a peak Heaven-level and emerged as a Late God-level, yet here he was, engaging in "humble-bragging." The Tsar and the American were gnashing their teeth, tempted to give him a thorough thrashing.

Master Denghai, however, was busy holding up his phone, running a livestream while in a video call with Senior Wuyou.

"Hello, viewers! This is Denghai!" Master Denghai greeted the camera before flipping it to point at the sky, where several streaks of light were weaving through each other at blinding speeds.

"We are currently at the Red Sea. Those points of light you see in the sky are the few Super-God level powerhouses of our Earth!"

"The golden light is the Celestial Angel, Gabriel. The red and white lights are Bai Xiaofei and Ren—both of our Yanhuang lineage."

"Right now, the three of them are teaming up against the black light, the Fallen Angel."

As the introduction finished, Senior Wuyou's voice crackled through the call: "That Ren kid is slacking off again. His strength is far beyond that. The Fallen Angel isn't that strong; he just has a cheap, cheating recovery ability."

Wuyou had fought the Super-Gods in the Hell Prison and knew their secrets. The Fallen Angel's combat style was similar to a regular Celestial's, just with a few more underhanded skills.

In the sky.

Ren didn't fire any more Gran Rey Ceros. After those few shots earlier, he realized the Hollow power within him had undergone a metamorphosis—he could now seemingly control temperature. This was good news; it meant his Hollow abilities were evolving.

As for his other powers, like the Sharingan, there wasn't much change. His Haki, however, had strengthened significantly; all three types had reached the current absolute limit of his potential.

Ren felt that if he went all out, he could probably use the Fallen Angel as a literal punching bag. Even if the Fallen Angel used a "Shared Fate" link to bind their lives, Ren wouldn't fear it. If his head was cut off, he wouldn't die; if he was split in half, he'd still live. The tardigrade genes alone allowed him to ignore most physical lethality.

But he wasn't going all out. He sensed that Gabriel was holding back too. It seemed the lady was plotting something, so Ren chose to keep observing.

Bai Xiaofei, however, was truly giving it his all. He pushed the Killing God Ninth Form to its limit; every move carried the weight of world-ending destruction! He slammed a palm forward, creating a massive handprint dozens of meters wide that smashed the Fallen Angel into the sea.

The moment the Angel surfaced, a crimson blade-light descended as if to tear the world apart, striking him heavily!

"Hahaha! It's useless! Out here, my energy is nearly infinite! With these clumsy attacks, the best you can do is give me an itch! To kill me, you're a hundred years too early!" the Fallen Angel roared with laughter.

Xiaofei's face darkened. He realized that unless he used the Boundless Path of Slaughter, he couldn't deal effective damage. Any other wound was instantly topped off by the Angel's healing arts.

He looked at Ren, who remarked casually, "We're all Super-Gods; obviously you have to use a Super-God technique to end it."

To Ren's "helpful" answer, Xiaofei summarized his thoughts in three dots: "..."

"Healing arts aren't infinite. Every use consumes stamina or energy," Gabriel explained. "In the Hell Prison, it cost stamina. Out here, it costs energy."

"But can a Super-God's energy truly be depleted? Even if it runs low, one can just use Life Burn to keep fighting," Ren noted.

Gabriel fell silent. This was precisely why the Celestials hadn't been able to kill the Fallen Angel for so many years. Even though his raw power was only at the Super-God level, he could sit at the same table as Satan because of his stubborn vitality.

As long as I don't die, I'll outlast you!

Xiaofei frowned. "So basically, as long as we hit him fast enough and hard enough, we can kill this guy, right?"

Gabriel nodded. "Theoretically, yes."

"I get it!" Xiaofei seemed to make a decision, but Ren stopped him before he could act.

"Don't be in such a rush to burn your life. You have a thousand-year lifespan now, but in a Super-God fight, a thousand years isn't that much."

"Then what do we do?" Xiaofei asked. "If we don't kill him now, he'll definitely cause chaos on Earth later!"

"If you can't kill him, just lock him back up." Ren glanced at Gabriel. Her heart skipped a beat, feeling as though her secret had been exposed.

"Yes... locking him back in the Hell Prison is the most efficient way," Gabriel said hurriedly.

"And the reason?" Ren pressed.

Gabriel bit her lip. "The Holy Lord is still alive. We just need to send a new batch of 'sinners' into the prison."

A flash of realization crossed Ren's eyes. No wonder Gabriel had been pulling her punches; she never intended to kill him from the start.

"Then let's send him back!"

Ren clenched his fist, and his Conqueror's Haki erupted in full force! In an instant, everyone present felt as though an invisible mountain had been dropped on their shoulders, weighing them down until they could barely breathe.

"What is this?!" "Mental suppression?"

They looked at Ren in shock. Gabriel remembered the first time she met Ren—he had used an attack with a similar mental weight to blast her away.

"I'll handle knocking this guy into the Gate," Ren said coldly. "After that, what happens is up to you!"
