"Finn… are you okay?"
Orion's voice cut through the silence for what felt like the hundredth time. Only when he reached out and tapped Finn lightly on the shoulder did Finn finally snap out of the whirlpool of his thoughts.
"What are you thinking about?" Orion pressed, his brows knitting slightly. "I've been trying to get your attention for a while now."
"Oh… uhm… sorry," Finn muttered, swallowing hard as he forced himself back to reality. His gaze shifted briefly before settling on Orion again. "When are you going out to fight monsters outside the capital again? You said you've been here for… what, two or three months now, right? What kind of monsters have you dealt with so far?"
Orion raised a brow, a slow smirk spreading across his face. "Are you worried about me?"
I'm more worried about my own life, dickhead! Finn screamed inwardly, rolling his eyes in clear disdain before exhaling sharply.
"Just answer me," he said aloud, his voice edged with impatience.
