Mob's ability to speak is gone. That is because of Skin who bite his tongue off from his mouth. She did that because he spoke out of boundary. His suggestion killing her new toy caused him this agony.
Who is this new toy of hers? It is Man-man and he blames Man-man for everything that happened.
From that very moment, he despised that Chosen who came out of nowhere in her life and became her favorite. It doesn't make sense. Before Man-man, Mob was the one who getting all the love and getting benefits of her blessing.
He had full grasp over her. She was obsessed with him. He didn't care about her love. He just wanted her blessing. She was a perfect source of strength that someone needs to survive in hell.
So, what if he was using her? Isn't Man-man doing the same? What is so different between the two? No. From the outside, both are quite similar.
Mob is right. He should've been the one with Skin. Not this nobody who isn't even half strong as him.
Mob is far stronger. His blessing can overpower him and he will be done in no time. Then Skin will have no choice but to love him. That is right. His is fixed on the idea that she will choose him after Man-man will die.
That is why, form the start of blood valley. He had kept close eye on Man-man. He's been watching and waiting to get the right chance.
Because of the sinned soul. It had gotten hard to get close to him. Not to mention, he watched Skin and Man-man fight too. He had hoped that she will finally kill him and accept him again.
That is why, he relaxed a little and went on looking at these weird ruins. He has no idea what are they even doing here? Shouldn't Skin be murdering Sinned souls in a dozen? See her here is quite odd.
After looking through the ruins, he found nothing of interest. So, he returned to see the dead corpse or a limbless body of Man-man on the ground. But instead, he saw Man-man and Skin together like nothing happened.
He missed the whole scene so he has no idea. But it boiled his blood either way. He wanted to see this Chosen die so bad.
So, when both spit up. He followed him and waited for the right moment. Unfortunately, Man-man managed to prevent himself from dying by leaping forward away from Mob.
And so, here they are. Mob and Man-man against each other.
Man-man has no idea who is this Chosen. His only guess is that it is a wild Chosen who followed him for some unknown reason.
He lacks a weapon. His sword was destroyed in his battle with Skin. She turned that sword into dust. It would be too much trouble to re-shape the whole thing so he didn't bother doing it. He doesn't regret it his laziness though. Only his shortsightedness.
Mob has an advantage in this fight. Not just because of two battle axes but because of his strange blessing. Man-man is already having a hard time staying awake. His eyelids are heavy and he is keeping them shut even if he doesn't want to do that.
His opponent doesn't wait and makes his move. He is going to end kill Man-man while he is half-sleep. A listless Chosen like Man-man is susceptible to his blessing. It should be easy for him to kill Man-man.
He runs towards Man-man who seemed to have completed fallen into slumber because of his blessing. He wouldn't even see it coming and die while in his sleep. That is what Mob is hoping.
His opponent will die in the most pathetic way. This way he will prove to Skin that he is better than this random Chosen.
He strikes at Man-man. But it didn't go as he imagined.
Man-man suddenly wakes up with pain. He has used his own blessing, Re-shape, and torn a little of his body from the inside. The feeling of pain overpowered the feeling the exhaustion which caused him to wake up with a jolt.
He blocks Mob's first strike with his hand. In that process, it gets mangled a bit but Skin's blessing is with him. So, it will be healed soon enough. Even if it takes a long time. He can use his other hand for attacking.
Mob is taken by surprised. So, out of reflex. He attacks with his other battle axe. But he couldn't do it cause Man-man bites down on his fingers and destroy them. That causes the other battle axe to slip from his hand.
Mob retreats and watches Man-man with anger.
Man-man just attacked like Skin. He used his mouth to attack him. That is how Skin attacks too. Not just that but Skin's blessing has completely stopped too.
Mob isn't healing at all. This just boils his blood even more. He is showering in hate.
Man-man picks him the fallen battle axe and re-shape it into a more comfortable weapon that looks like a very disfigured sword. He has to use his left hand. But it doesn't affect his combat style too much. He can still deal with his enemy.
His mangled hand doesn't hurt as much as the pain that is being caused by his body being re-shaped ever so slightly. Bit he has to kept on doing it because that is the only way for him to prevent himself from falling asleep.
Mob's blessing is a real headache for Man-man. Maybe he needs to work on his laziness if he survives this day.
Man-man's enemy screams that sounded like words. But he can't understand what is he saying. The words aren't properly coming out of his mouth. He seemed to have damaged vocal cords or a destroyed tongue.
Man-man concludes that this can't be a birth defect. It has to happen recently. But he can't make sense how could that happen.
He doesn't really get to ponder about long. Mob is attacking again and this time he looks even more pissed than before.
Both fight each other, one is fighting with an intent to kill. His fighting style is miscellaneous and doesn't have a proper rhythm. He is only using his strength with no skill which makes it quite predictable to his opponent.
The opponent is skillfully parrying each attack of the battle axe. His combat style is much delicate and has rhythm to it. Even though his weapon isn't what he is used to. He is still managing well.
It is probably easy to guess who is who.
Mob is at a disadvantage and his attacks aren't making any progress. He is still raging on and attacking indefinitely. His skill level is much lower than Man-man. But he can't surpass him in that. He will surpass him in strength.
Man-man is still suffering from Mob's blessing. Because of pain, he has managed to kept himself from fading into slumber. His skill might be better than his opponent. But even he can't keep this up forever.
More he stays around this Chosen the more fatigue he will feel and more he will fall into darkness.
Man-man doesn't have any way to break through his opponent. So, with nothing else to do. He steps back and runs away from him. If he can't win straight forward, he will trick.
Mob follows with doubt. He knows also aware of what Chosen do when they're corned. He is also a treacherous Chosen. He knows how to deal with trickery. He is ready for anything that might come his way.
He runs towards Man-man with full sprint. He will reach him in few second as his opponent is still suffering from fatigue. Man-man is aware of that so he will use his blessing.
Man-man's blessing re-shape anything to a certain degree a long as he is touching it with his body. With that logic, if he is careful enough. He can make the ground, that is under his bear foot, change shape so Mob might trip on it.
Mob notices that oddity in no time. The ground has popped up a little where Man-man's foot once was. His eyes are set on it and his anger just burst even further. He won't be outsmarted with such a lame trick.
Mob crushes the popped ground and looks at Man-man who has turned around with a hook like weapon in his hand.
He was paying attention to Man-man and any sign of trickery. So, he when he saw a pathetic attempt at tricking him. He didn't pay attention to Man-man weapon changing shape.
Man-man uses the weapon to not attack Mob but to hook it into the battle axe. The hoot like weapon interlock with the battle axe and now both are stuck together.
Man-man and Mob struggle to get control of the weapon. But in the end, Man-man uses his full force to throw it away from the both of their hands.
Now both of them are unarmed.
Upside is that, Man-man doesn't have to Mob's relentless attack. Downside is that, he also doesn't have a weapon and Mob isn't going to stop fighting just because he is unarmed.
Mob doesn't give any time for Man-man to recover and takes him down and go for his throat. Man-man is being strangled by him.
He can't get him off because he is much stronger and Man-man is struggle from fatigue cause of that blessing. Man-man struggles for the air but starting to loss consciousness.
He needs to do something before he loses consciousness. If he does then it would be over.
Mob has finally got this pathetic Chosen in the grasp. He can't control his joy of finally being with Skin. She will be with him after Man-man death. The power of her blessing will be only for Mob then.
A disgustingly sadistic grin creeps up in his mouth. Then he speaks with a broken voice.
"Sk…iii…nn…wi…lll.be..mi-"
But before he can finish that. He feels tremendous pain near his stomach. Something has stabbed him.
How? Man-man is unarmed. Well, that answer can be answer with his blessing, re-shape. He can re-shape things to some degree. He usually only re-shape inorganic matter as it is easier to mend. Organ matter is easily damaged and can't be fixed if broken. Also, it hurts a lot.
Man-man re-shaped his bones and shot them out of his ribcage and into Mob's body. It hurt a lot, maybe like equal to breaking all of his bones at a single time.
He couldn't re-shape Mob's body as he needs a little time to be familiar with the material and then needs to focus. Man-man focus was already a mess so he did whatever to survive.
The whole trick didn't went as planned. But he got it in the end.
Inside of Mob's body, Man-man bones that stabbed grows even deeper. Both can feel a similar type of pain. The difference is that, one is dying and other has control over who is going to die.
Mob's grip from his neck becomes weaker and weaker. He curses but no comprehendible sound comes out of his mouth.
The pain only lasted for less than a minute. But it felt like an eternity has passed. But it hasn't over. Mob has died but the sinned soul can come out any second. He needs to gather his organic matter and run.
Man-man pushes through the pain and runs as fast as he can. There is still pain but it is healing. Skin's blessing working brilliantly. She won't let him die. But pain stays.
Pain isn't a concern right now. He just has to get away and hide. Mob's blessing is gone so he can feel his strength returning. He should get away before he can find a sinned soul in his condition and…Then Man-man falls to the ground and goes into a deep slumber.
'What is happening?'
Mob should've been an end to his blessing. But why has it gotten stronger? Why can't Man-man control himself?
'What is happening? What is happening? What is happening? What is happening?'
He tries to think of something but it isn't making sense. A sinned soul can't use a blessing. Only an ancient one can do it. It is impossible for a new sinned soul to do so.
But there is an exception. A blessing can be activated consciously. These blessing are needed to be comprehend by a messed up mind of a sinned soul to finally use. But there are blessing that keep themselves active without a conscious command.
If Mob's blessing isn't a conscious one then that means the sinned soul that is born form it is using it without activating it.
'Fuck.'
Man-man think of that last word and then he feels pain of getting stabbed and lifted up from the ground. He can feel that his heart is punched and ribs are broken.
The intense pain forces him to open his eyes and watch in horror as the sinned soul is watching Man-man with a disgusting grin. Man-man's is dying and Skin's healing isn't enough to save him.
