There is a smell of blood in the air. That means they've finally reached the blood valley.
Skin loves the air around this part. It always reminders her of home. For a killer like her this place looks and smell like the best place to be.
For Man-man, it is just another part of hell. He feels nothing towards this new location.
The view in front of them is red all around. The ground is red, the tree like appendages that also red and there is a massive river in here that looks or even smell like blood. It is literally just blood.
There is a theory that Hell itself is actually a living creature. This valley is just a wound of the creature that can never heal. However, there is no proof for that. It is just another mystery of hell.
Skin doesn't really care about that mystery though. She only wants to kill and even more kill. If they're lucky. Soon, they will find the mountainous soul to kill. She would love to kill it with Man-man.
This is like a date. A morbid and dangerous date. Man-man isn't a fan of that nor is aware that it is a date. Skin is thrilled about it though. Blood valley is a perfect location for a lovely date.
Both move forward and as they enter the blood valley. They encounter sinned souls of various sizes.
Blood valley is a dangerous place. But that isn't the reason for so many sinned souls to be here. That is because Chosen don't come here usually and why is that? Well, that is because there isn't really is no proper solid ground for Chosen.
The ground of the whole valley is like rotten flesh. It is hard to move on and there are many more oddities that makes it tougher for a Chosen to survive in here. This place is one of the busiest places of hell. There is just so much that is happening in here. It is quite overwhelming. Rest of hell looks quite empty when compared to this.
The danger level of blood valley is debatable as this place is also dangerous for sinned soul. They can die here too so only very specific or those who can adapt can survive in here.
Skin and Man-man will have to adapt here too.
So, to probably test their adaptable capabilities a sinned soul appears out of nowhere to attack Skin and Man-man. The sinned soul in question is tall with long scythe legs that puncher the land and fix it at place.
It is capable of even using those scythe lands to attack. The whole creature doesn't have a face or any other feature that can make it look alive. It is just a walking organic mess.
Skin makes her move first. Her speed is affected cause of this land. It is going to make her ability to dodge difficult. It is probably even pointless to even try to dodge so she just blocks or parry that sinned soul's attacks with her polearm(dicky). Her blessing will repair it so she doesn't have to worry about it breaking or something.
While skin is dealing with the scythe soul. Man-man is calculating the right moment to attack it form behind. She never said that she needed help but it is better if they dealt with this creature soon. He doesn't want to attract more of its kind and there seem to be some moment a little far away. He wants to see what is happening in peace.
Skin parries another attack and breaks one of its scythes. But it has ten of them and she only broke one. So, it would take a little bit time for her to break every last one of them.
"You, damned bug, are so annoying. Just let me kill you al little."
She has all the attention of the scythe soul and it doesn't seem to have any intention of letting her get away. She would never leave a fight but currently she can see that Man-man coming from the scythe sou's behind. That makes her smile a little.
His moment is face and precise. He is careful to balance his weight in this new terrain and his foot steps are soft or quiet.
Skin doesn't really have time to observe him though. The scythe soul attacks her again. This time five of all the remaining nine scythes attacks her in a coordinated motion. It is hard to block all and she gets hit a dozen of time. But her skin is tough. She can hand some cuts that are deep enough to show her bones.
Speaking of bones, Man-man's bones are almost healed. That is probably why he can move this fast. Always letting Skin fight and observe her form far away has taught him a little and help him heal with his body's natural healing.
Now it is time for him to do some fighting too.
Man-man glides through the four scythes of that sinned soul and attacks each one of the legs with all his might. However, he only managed to break one of them. His weapon is so fragile that is break four times while breaking them and reshaping it again and again isn't enough.
That however, is enough to imbalance the creature. Skin moves forward and jumps on the creature. This sinned soul is solid and letting her move at top speed.
She explodes in motion and reaches the core of the creature. She is ready to attack but the scythe soul won't let her do that. It uses one of its scythes to attack her too.
A sane person would try to dodge it. However, she isn't one of them. So, she let it attack her and she attacks it in return.
Both hit each other, scythe soul pierces her body. But Skin does more damage and break its balance completely. It falls to the ground.
Then Skin and Man-man attacks together that sinned soul and manages to kill it before it could recover. Both managed to kill a sinned soul together like a team of sorts.
Skin did most of the work. However, if it wasn't for him. This fight would've taken a lot longer.
"We were amazing, Man-man. You are so cute when you get serious."
She has a literally hole on her body. That scythe was huge and it pierced through her body. But despite that, her bleeding is minimum and she doesn't look much bothered by it.
There also no healing. She never heals herself so Man-man had thought that she can't heal herself. But now, he is starting to doubt it. She always gets hurt somehow during battle. But she survives regardless of how dangerous the damage she has taken. Could she have a passive heal of some sort? He isn't sure.
Man-man looks at his weapon that is almost broken. No matter much reshaping he does. It is going to restrict his battle capabilities. He needs a new weapon.
That weapon is in front of him. So, he throws his weapon on the ground and move towards the corpse of the sinned soul.
"Man-man? Why you throw your friend on the ground? What are you doing?"
He ignores her rambling and grabs one of the legs of the scythe soul. This one was break by him so it belongs him now.
This material looks close enough to a real steel or iron. So, he reshapes it into a sword like shape. it is hard to reshape something into a totally different thing. But this thing is already blade shaped so he doesn't really have to do much work.
And so, he gets an upgrade a new makeshift sword. This will have to work for now.
Skin grabs the thrown off broken weapon of Man-man and complaints.
"Why did you throw him away? He is your friend. What is wrong with you? He looks so sad and lonely. He is heartbroken. DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY FOR YOURSELF?"
Man-man doesn't know what she has to shout for no reason. She is so illogical and bothersome.
"That weapon isn't usable anymore. So, I don't need it."
Skin replies in annoyance.
"So, it is dead? Then bury him like a proper friend. Don't be so heart towards your friend. What is wrong with you? You are so heartless."
Man-man can't help fight it ironic for a bloodthirsty killer like her to call him heartless. That just makes him feel weird.
But he doesn't have time for her nonsense. He needs to see what was that moment that he saw a little further away.
He observes and finds something that is quite interesting.
He sees a lot of Chosen entering the blood valley. Not just that, but few of these Chosen are in groups. They've made teams. He has never seen something like that.
He also is with Skin. But he sees Chosen that have a group that is big enough have five Chosen.
It is obvious what they are after. They all have somehow gathered the info on Mountainous soul. Everyone wants to take a piece of that mountainous soul for themselves.
Not everyone is as crazy as to want to kill a sinned soul for the sake of it. These Chosen are also after the secrets of the Gods. So, he was right. Mountainous soul does possess a temple or a structure of sorts that belong to a God.
Everyone wants to uncover the secrets of hell and the power that they will get in return.
Perhaps, he can get a chance to get a hold of a frozen blessing. That is what he wants to get for himself.
This blood valley is going to see even more blood within itself. A new river of blood may flow by the end of this ordeal.
Man-man looks at Skin who is burying his old weapon in the ground. So, she was serious about calling it a friend.
That sure is as strange as seeing so many Chosen getting attracted to one place. This is going to be a mess. By the way, here's a bad idea. He should tell Skin about it and see what happen. What could wrong?
