Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Loop

A large, mildly deep sparkling pond was in the middle of a dense purple forest, as a decently tall man with a V-taper physique, defined six-pack, broad shoulders, and a slim waist floated on the surface of the sparkling pond. His decently long but straight blood red hair covered most of his face, but through the gaps, killing intent shone on the surface of his hellfire-like dark red eyes.

As the man was contemplating a plethora of different things, a shimmering object flew through the sky, its trajectory straight towards the man floating on the pond. However, before it could progress any further, an explosion occurred on the pond, sending water flying towards the sky, and through that explosion the man flew towards the object in the air.

What was thought to be a shimmering object turned out to be a beast made out of glass and crystals. It was decently large with a crystal spike protruding from its uneven back. Instead of hands, it had small glass-like scythes instead. Its body was covered in small cracks, bumps, and crystals; however, it had no mouth or nose, only a horizontal rectangular head with sharp spikes on the two ends and red circular eyes on the surface of the rectangle.

A reindeer appeared near the sparkling pond.

As the man and the glass creature met in the sky, the man suddenly grabbed the wrist of the creature, and before it could react, he snapped his fingers right in its face, causing a huge explosion and sending it crashing backwards into the forest. Before the man could gracefully land, a small explosion occurred below the soles of his feet, sending him towards the creature.

As he landed, the creature took a large powerful stride towards the man, and in return he dashed towards the creature, coating his hands in a red aura-like coating as his fist and the creature's scythe collided and another small explosion occurred, sending the creature backwards.

The reindeer took a sip of water from the pond.

Before the glass creature could recover, the man shot towards it, sending another punch towards its stomach, and as his fist landed another explosion occurred, sending the creature crashing into a couple dozen trees.

Dashing once again with explosive might, the man exchanged blow after blow with the glass creature, suffering minor injuries. Soon the man was covered in minor scratches and cuts. The glass creature, on the other hand, was filled with many more injuries, filling its entire body with larger cracks and scratches, making the soon to be victor quite obvious.

The reindeer staggered and shivered, looking dazed.

The glass creature whipped its scythe towards the man's head, however the man caught it with both hands, with an explosion occurring right after that destroyed the scythe of the glass creature. Staggering back, the creature tried to recover; however, it was soon met by a couple dozen fleeting punches and then a singular explosive roundhouse kick to its face, sending the creature flying back quite far.

The creature slowly got up, its battered body slowly falling apart as cracks littered its once shining body, even the once majestic crystal spike protruding from its back was completely broken. However, it was filled with anger as it made half a dozen steps towards the man.

The reindeer lost all its hair, its eyes started to bleed, and its heart exploded in a bloody fashion, blood dripping from the reindeer's mouth.

At this point the creature was blinded by fury and pain, and so it simply jumped forward in the direction of the human. However, instead of a breathing and vigorous man it expected to see, what was before its eyes was the beheaded body of the man, his blood dyeing the emerald green grass with dark shades of red. The creature approached the lifeless and headless body of the man, and right at that moment the world exploded in light.

A large deep sparkling pond was in the middle of a dense purple forest, as a decently tall man with a V-taper physique, defined six-pack, broad shoulders, and a slim waist floated on the surface of the sparkling pond. His decently long but straight blood red hair covered most of his face, but through the gaps, killing intent shone on the surface of his hellfire-like dark red eyes.

'Hm, I wonder when it'll arrive.'

As those thoughts passed through his mind momentarily, a shining object flew through the sky, its trajectory aimed towards the mysterious man lying on the pond.

However, before any progress could be made, an explosion occurred on the water and the man flew out of it with a grin on his face.

The unknown shining object turned out to be a beast made out of glass and crystals. It was quite large with a big crystal spike protruding from its uneven back. Instead of hands, it had small glass-like but sharp scythes instead. Its body was covered in small cracks, bumps, and crystals; however, it had no mouth or nose, only a horizontal rectangular head with sharp spikes on the two ends and red circular eyes on the glass surface of the rectangle.

A reindeer appeared near the sparkling pond.

As they met in the sky, the man swiftly snapped his fingers in the face of the creature, causing an explosion and sending the creature backwards into the forest. Almost simultaneously, a much tinier explosion occurred at the soles of the man's feet, sending him flying towards the creature.

As he landed, the creature spun and horizontally slashed the air in a circular manner. Instinctively, the man fell to the ground. What followed right after were trees in a 3 km radius, as well as two large mountains within the vicinity, being completely cut, clearing out a large section of the forest.

The reindeer took a sip of water from the pond.

'Quite impressive for a Beast.'

With a dark look in his eyes, the man got up and dashed towards the creature, dodging a slash from the creature and punching the creature's chest with an explosive punch, sending it sliding backwards.

As it recovered, the creature and the man exchanged blows over and over again. Soon they both were covered in scratches and cuts, pain washing over the man while the creature, on the other hand, simply did not feel pain.

The reindeer staggered and shivered, looking dazed.

The creature jumped backwards, fleeing from the man's flurry of punches. Then a crystal started to form in front of its face, and as it formed the man got ready to flick his fingers. Until finally the formation completed and the creature sent it flying towards the man.

'I'll just send it straight back, if not destroy it.'

With a grin, the man snapped his fingers as the crystal reached him, causing another small-scale explosion. But the man's expectations were betrayed as the crystal remained unaffected by the explosion and even continued its trajectory, pulverizing the man's right hand and leaving a deep horizontal wound on his right shoulder. Remaining unmoved, the man simply dashed forward, his left hand steaming and turning bright red. When he reached the creature he simply placed his hand on the creature's stomach, intending to cause a massive explosion.

The reindeer lost all its hair, its eyes started to bleed, and its heart exploded in a bloody fashion, blood dripping from the reindeer's mouth.

Unfortunately, just before the explosion occurred, the man was stabbed through the heart while almost simultaneously the creature was beheaded. Shocked, the man attempted to look behind himself only to see deep purple eyes staring back, its body hidden in shadows through a soul skill. The man tried to speak but coughed blood. Instead, the purple eyes spoke in a deep voice.

"I won't let him have you this time, Apricus."

As the purple eyes removed its blade from Apricus's chest, its eyes grew fiercer, filling with anger.

'Damn it.'

Once again, the world exploded in light.
