In the woods, the huge Wendigo groaned as the small Wendigo caught fire miles away.
Nathan and Jenny heard it and turned their heads towards the door.
"Are you okay," Nathan asked.
"Yes, I just can't stop the bleeding," Jenny replied as she kept putting pressure on the man's leg.
Nathan pulled out a drawstring from the man's shorts and tied it above the knee.
"This will reduce how fast he bleeds but he needs a hospital," he advised.
They heard footsteps and turned to see Martin. Jenny walked over and gave him a hug.
"Where are the others," Jenny asked.
"I am not sure but I saw the creature attack, Monica. I think she is dead," Martin said.
"She is still alive. I saw the Wendigo dragging her deep into the woods," Mark said wincing.
"She is still alive?" Martin asked and Jenny looked at him with a frown.
"We have to go save her," Jenny suggested.
"It will be dangerous, she might not even be alive," Martin said.
"Martin is right. The Wendigo has better sight in the dark. I think Martin and I should go," Nathan suggested.
"What?" Martin shouted as a pit formed in his stomach.
"I thought you said she might be dead," he added.
"No, I think she might still be alive. It killed and devoured some people instantly. I wondered why it kept some alive,"
"What are you talking about?" Martin asked.
"It must have a family it is trying to feed," Mark explained.
"Yes, this Wendigo confirmed my suspicion," Nathan added. He stepped aside showing Martin the charred Wendigo.
Martin saw in and gagged, he covered his mouth and ran out of the room.
"We will need something better to fight the Wendigo," Nathan suggested.
"Like a gun," Jenny said.
"Maybe a bigger gun cause mine did jack squat," Mark suggested.
"Any suggestions?" Nathan said then turned to Jenny, and then to the bleeding man on the ground.
"Maybe someone might have something in the car that might help," Mark said.
"Okay but let's get out of here. I don't think it's safe," Nathan said, and helped Mark up. Jenny helped the bleeding man.
When he stood up blood gushed out of a deep slash a little lower down his thigh. The man screamed and blood ran down his leg.
"Are you sure it's okay to move him?" Jenny asked.
"What other choice do we have? We can't just leave him," Nathan replied.
They walked out as the injured ones lumped.
