Claire's POV
I've long changed out of my work clothes and am now back in the living room. Louis has also switched into something casual. He looks ridiculously good in those pants.
My eyes linger on the faint outline beneath the loose fabric, and a flutter stirs in my belly, heat pooling low in my core.
I walk over to him. He's seated wide-legged on the sofa, scrolling through his phone, his expression almost unreadable.
I wonder what he's up to. His expression was quite serious.
"Hey."
He looks up at me, a small smile forming at the corner of his mouth. "Hey."
"Is everything okay?" I asked, he looked a bit troubled. "You look like you just saw a ghost."
He lets out a sigh, beckoning me closer. "I just…."
I step toward him, and before I can think better of it, I settle onto his lap. "Oh.." I yelped. I wasn't expecting that but I liked it.
