Dominic felt his chest tighten. He was sitting across from his father in the study, looking at a financial report he'd never actually reviewed. He should have known those numbers. He should have caught that loss before it became a problem.


"There were complications with supply," Dominic said carefully. "We've been working to resolve it."


Vincent set down the report. "Grace identified the problem in about fifteen minutes. She also identified who was stealing from us. She's recommended a course of action that saves us nearly two million if we implement it correctly." Vincent's expression didn't change but his voice did something worse. It got quiet. "Why didn't you identify this, Dominic?"
