Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 – The Bond of Fire

Scene 1: The First Mark of Blood

After that vow on the rooftop at midnight, everything changed.

Ruel no longer wanted revenge alone—he had accepted the fire within him.

For the next few days, they stayed together in the abandoned building that had become their secret refuge.

Maps, files, and names were spread across a wooden table—members of the Fire organization.

"They're not just businessmen," she said calmly. "They're inside politics, the police, the media. Everywhere."

Ruel's jaw tightened.

"Then how do we begin?"

She placed her finger on one name.

Arman Kader.

"He was one of the main planners the night of the fire."

Ruel's chest trembled.

"I want to see him."

Scene 2: Following the Shadows

An elite party was underway in one of the city's most luxurious districts.

Arman Kader laughed among influential guests—looking innocent, powerful.

Ruel watched from a distance.

His fists were clenched.

"Not now," she whispered. "Be patient."

"I can end him tonight," Ruel muttered through his teeth.

She grabbed his hand.

Her touch burned—warm like controlled flames.

"Revenge isn't just killing someone. Revenge is watching them lose everything."

Ruel's breathing grew heavier.

Scene 3: The Trap

Suddenly—

The air grew unnaturally hot.

She froze.

"We've been detected."

Armed men emerged from the darkness behind them.

"You really thought we wouldn't know?" one of them laughed.

It was a trap.

Gunshots rang out.

She pulled Ruel behind a concrete wall.

A flash of red fire burst from her hand.

One man screamed and collapsed.

But this time, the enemies were prepared.

One of them pulled out a strange weapon glowing with blue light.

When it fired—

She suddenly gasped.

The red glow vanished.

She dropped to one knee.

"What happened?!" Ruel shouted.

"They're using suppression technology… it blocks my power…"

Scene 4: Ruel's Choice

The enemies were closing in.

She was weak.

For the first time.

Ruel looked at her.

This dangerous woman had risked her life for him.

For the first time, he saw fear in her eyes.

Not for herself—

For him.

"Run!" she ordered.

Ruel shook his head.

"No."

He picked up a gun from the ground.

His hands trembled—but his eyes were steady.

First shot.

A man fell.

Second shot.

Another stumbled.

She stared at him in shock.

"You…"

"I'm not just ready to walk through fire," Ruel said coldly.

"I'm ready to become it."

Scene 5: The Bond of Fire

When the last enemy fell, silence consumed the night.

Her strength slowly began returning.

She stepped closer to him.

There was blood on his cheek.

She gently wiped it away with her thumb.

"You've changed tonight."

Ruel held her gaze.

"So have you."

A long pause.

Then—

She pulled him closer.

Their foreheads touched.

Their breaths merged.

Hot like fire—but restrained.

In that moment, they both understood—

This was no longer just an alliance of revenge.

This was a bond forged in flames.
