Ruelle couldn't sleep.
The vision replayed in her mind over and over.
Now she knew—her family's deaths had been planned.
And that man… he knew everything.
The next day, she went looking for him.
Strangely, she didn't struggle to find him.
As if he had been waiting.
"You came," he said.
"You're going to tell me everything."
He remained silent for a moment.
"If you know everything, you won't remain the same."
"I'm not the same anymore," Ruelle replied coldly.
Scene 2: The Door to a Hidden World
He took her to an abandoned building in the city.
Inside were old maps, names, strange symbols.
One symbol stood out—a serpent coiled within flames.
"Who are they?" she asked.
"A secret organization," he answered. "They live in the city's shadows. And they wouldn't hesitate to burn people alive for power."
Hatred burned in Ruelle's eyes.
"They killed my family."
"Yes."
A silent confirmation.
Scene 3: Danger Closes In
Suddenly, a window shattered.
Gunfire erupted.
Ruelle dropped to the floor.
He stepped in front of her instantly.
Red light flared from his hand once again.
Glass melted.
The air turned scorching hot.
"They know you're with me," he said.
"So?"
"So now you're a target."
Scene 4: Close Distance
The gunfire stopped.
Smoke filled the building.
Ruelle tried to stand but stumbled.
He caught her.
Their faces inches apart.
His eyes burned.
Her chest rose and fell rapidly.
"Are you afraid?" he whispered.
"No," she replied—but her voice trembled.
His fingers brushed her chin.
"You don't know what you're getting into."
"I want revenge," she said firmly.
"And if you lose me on that path?"
She fell silent.
She didn't have an answer.
Scene 5: The Decision
They stood on the rooftop that night, overlooking the city.
The city looked peaceful.
But inside them, a storm raged.
"I'll stay with you," Ruelle said. "Until the end."
He looked at her.
This time, there was something softer in his eyes—not just fire.
"Then prepare yourself," he said. "Because this path is soaked in blood."
Ruelle took a deep breath.
"I'm ready to walk through the fire."
Thunder cracked in the distance.
A red flash split the dark sky.
And thus, Chapter 4 ended—with Ruelle stepping fully onto the path of revenge, and her dance with the shadows truly beginning.
