Chapter 89 - Vladimir's first time in Manginapudi

Luckily Arjun was able to make Balram visit the nearby villages and fetch some bottles as he was way more familiar with the surrounding areas than Arjun while he accompanied Vladimir and showed him the plastic pouch designs in which the beverages were going to be packaged in.

Vladimir had seen plenty tetra packs in his life so it came as a surprise to him when he got to know that they were not going to use either the tetra packs or bottles for the packaging and instead use plastic pouches which some how felt off to him.

He questioned Arjun regarding this and upon learning this was just a cost cutting decision he did not have much to say as he had little understanding regarding Indian market but knew people were considerably poorer than back home.

When he saw the characters on the rose milk packaging he got curios and enquired Arjun about them as it would be tough to export with the same packaging if they did not have proper rights to the design. When Arjun mentioned it was their own design and his own studio were using these designs in making a new manga Vladimir lost all interest in the topic.

Arjun meanwhile could see the disappointing expression on Vladimir's face and chuckled inside, after all this had potential to be the biggest studio company and biggest IP on earth and here was the guy who remarked himself to be good at spotting new opportunities to overlook it altogether.

Thankfully Balram did not make them wait longer and got the bottles ready after which the Russians soon got drunk to their heads and wanted to offload some of their heat but when Arjun mentioned it was neither legal nor he had any connections in this area Vladimir surprisingly controlled his desires and went back to his room while some of his crew were still adamant and went out to explore on their own.

Arjun made Balram follow them to make sure nothing out of the place happened while he too retired back to his room to get some sleep after the tough day out.

By the time everyone woke up it was already past nine in the morning after which Arjun had to hurry everyone to get it done quickly as the allotted time for the trial run was set to be at two thirty in the noon by the village priest and they had to hurry it up if they wanted to get back to village before the allotted time.

Vladimir was the most curious of the lot to see whether if his background check on Arjun was truly right and his parents were really living in such a place as his check got him to know some truly interesting stuff which he doubted Arjun knew about and had no intention of sharing them either if his parents were dead set on not letting the cat out of the bag yet.

When they reached the village it was already past two and they had no time to deal with the lunch stuff so Arjun made Balram and the following taxi drive directly to the factory area. He had already informed Vladimir that this was just a temporary settlement for a couple years while they built a proper factory so he did not have many questions after seeing the steel framed factory which felt more like a warehouse than a factory to him.

He truly wondered how this got past the inspections but when Arjun mentioned there was no inspection at all thanks to Saheri dealing those stuff for him Vladimir gave a knowing nod which Arjun did not quite understand and went ahead to introduce Vladimir to Pratap who was at the site as he was the one who had to conduct the rituals.

There was no ribbon cutting ceremony today as they were just doing a trial run and ribbon cutting was set a couple days later, Madan asked for it to be like so which Arjun did not quite understand as the earlier they began the earlier they could stop wasting money and time but he still complied.

Once Pratap was done with the rituals Vladimir took him aside with the local translator Arjun had hired for the workers while Arjun stayed around overlooking the workers produce the first batch of butter milk and other two flavors.

Thanks for taking care of my son and supporting him in this ordeal Pratap said to Vladimir once they were a bit far away.

It's nothing, after all i've made plenty of money thanks to Arjun and perhaps even more if this venture is a success.

Yes i hope the same.

I am surprised Arjun doesn't seem to know anything about his parents even now? Vladimir asked with a cheeky smile.

Pratap was taken aback at start but after seeing the foreigners cheeky grin he let out a sigh and replied I just don't think it's right to push my burdens onto the younger generation and with Arjun's progression i am sure he will overtake them in no time.

Yes true that but i am sure they'll not sit by idly and watch as your son dances around Vladimir replied with a much stricter expression.

Yes i think so too and am still in a dilemma about what to do.

Let me tell you, Arjun is way more mature than what you consider him to be or i would have never chosen to do business with him and that too a long term one. I think you should trust him more Vladimir remarked and followed Pratap back once he understood he was not going to get a satisfactory reply from this young general who would be in his prime had he stayed back.

What were you speaking so seriously dad? Arjun enquired Pratap once they were back on the factory deck but Pratap just replied he had taken Vladimir out to thank him for supporting Arjun on this new venture.

Arjun had his suspicions but when Vladimir just nodded in response he just complied and took the adults to their seats as the packaging would take at least another hour at the least. After all this was the first time for most of the workers and mistakes are very much expected.
