In front of the full-length mirror, Philinos sat on the floor, having just finished braiding Gu Ning's hair. He straightened the drowsy little human in his arms. "Take a look."
It was his first time braiding Ning's hair, and he didn't know if she would like it.
Gu Ning had woken up bright and early. After asking Andrew for Philinos's household registration yesterday, she had spent the rest of the night dealing with matters related to Kaper. Now, sleepiness was threatening to completely swallow her will to go out.
She hadn't been in a hurry to deal with the Kaper situation, but after a somewhat difficult call with Andrew, she didn't dare to delay any longer. She couldn't risk it affecting her and Cook.
'Philinos's household registration can wait a little longer,' she thought. 'Just showing the Little Fairy Bird I'm taking action should be enough to reassure him. But anything related to Cook absolutely cannot go wrong.'
