The other end of the line was silent for a few seconds before Andrew finally spoke. "Oh?"
His tone held a hint of surprise, and then nothing.
Gu Ning heard the grating sound of a chair dragging across the floor on the other end of the line.
Andrew's silence made her a little uneasy. He usually seemed quite easy to talk to, and she'd never seen him look angry or cold. But his natural air of authority made one unconsciously tense up, afraid to overstep.
The sound of water pouring into a cup continued through her earpiece. The Admiral was getting a drink of water.
Gu Ning spoke cautiously, "Admiral, are you, listening to me?"
"I'm listening." Andrew took a sip of water and said unhurriedly, "Why the sudden desire for Philinos's household registration?"
Gu Ning mentally cycled through phrases in the Common Tongue before slowly saying, "I want Philinos. To enter. My household."
With a soft CLINK, Andrew set down his cup. "Reason."
