Chapter 106 - Chapter 106: The last breath of the flute

The debris behind Garoo exploded the moment all the water around started to gather in the same spot where Archilochus had been crushed. Garoo immediately turned around, scared. "He should be dead… what is this?!" he shouted, terrified. From the debris, something or someone was coming again.

It was Archilochus, but his body was different. He wasn't human anymore; right now his body was ten times bigger. He had four legs and his body was entirely made of purple water, his same magic. His body was bigger, and he had two big wings over his back; he looked exactly like a dragon entirely made of purple water. On his legs, he had long and powerful claws entirely made of water, and it looked like all the water, even the rain falling from the sky, was gathering around him.

Now that this transformation had started, it began to rain less; it seemed like the water would soon stop.

"You really thought that was the end, Garoo?" asked Archilochus. His voice sounded different; it felt like it was coming from the depths of the ocean.

"You're still alive… how…" Garoo couldn't believe his eyes; he almost fell on his knees while looking at the majestic creature in front of him.

"It's my special power… once I am covered in the water of my magic, my body changes." Archilochus no longer had any problems, his body wasn't tired anymore, and it didn't even feel like he was using his soul. "I was lucky that the wall in the house broke at that exact moment… or else I would have died."

While Archilochus was on top of the building, he had created a small hole where slimy water could enter and stay inside the house. Once the house was destroyed, the water would wander free. It was because of this that Archilochus always remained next to that building, thanks to that, once the wall shattered, his body was already covered in his own magic.

"I knew that you were really a problem, Garoo. In fact, you almost killed me, but as I've said… IT'S BECAUSE OF THIS CITY THAT YOU'RE GOING TO DIEEEE!!" shouted Archilochus. His voice could be heard from all the town, even the people who ran away could hear that. The moment the voice was heard, they felt so scared that some of them shouted.

"What? Why is this city which ruined—" Garoo couldn't even finish speaking before Archilochus brutally interrupted him.

"Don't tell me that you haven't got it yet… It's because of the festival, Garoo. If you wouldn't have played, you could have won… I've told you, this city is about to ruin you," said Archilochus as he looked behind. Garoo tried to see behind Archilochus, but his huge body was covering the view.

"Oh right, you can't see it." Archilochus slowly moved to his left, it was enough to give Garoo a view of the tree… that wasn't there anymore!

"No…" Garoo didn't know what to say, he remained still, not being able to move his body anymore.

"Don't worry, Garoo, soon everything will be over… the tower will fall too now," said Archilochus calmly. Suddenly, something started to rise from the sea.

The monster who rose from the sea was totally black like a Krukin; it was possible only to see his hands, body, and face. A part of his hand was tentacles, the other arm was really big and muscular. His body was big, and inside of it, there was a small green light coming from it; from its chest, multiple tentacles were coming out too.

His face was ugly, it was the ugliest thing that a human could have ever seen. Even if it was hidden by the dark, it was impossible to see it properly.

All the Krukins were returning to the portal, Leobruns was calling for all of them.

"C'mon, we have finished here, everyone return!!" shouted Leobruns. The portal had remained open for all this time.

"Ehii, let me see the destruction of the tower, it will be the best part!!" shouted Anacreon as he tried to look through the portal, but it was impossible to see because of all the Krukins returning back home.

"Is it everyone?" asked Banaikuj to Leobruns, who seemed like he was keeping count of all the Krukins.

"Yes, we can return. C'mon, Poisudonom, we don't need to remain here anymore," said Leobruns. Poisudonom shook his head.

"I'll remain here. Tell everyone that I will keep exploring the ocean after this," he said, smiling. The humans who were fighting before were all shocked to see that.

Lily grabbed Vane's unconscious body on her shoulder. Naluri and she remained locked onto that huge creature, it was their first night seeing Krukins and now they saw something like that, but everyone in the town could see it, and everyone knew well what it was.

"No… It's the monster written in Darian's diary… IT REALLY EXISTS!!" shouted Liro, scared. He tried to search for Darian with his eyes, but he was nowhere to be seen.

"It's the monster… it really exists then…" whispered Lily at the creature. Poisudonom walked next to them.

"You see, Kyujin has lived here so long. I understood immediately that the monster you people referred to was her," said Poisudonom as he walked next to the humans, who immediately put themselves in a defensive pose, scared that the Krukin might attack them. But instead of attacking, he raised his hand.

"You can't fight anymore and I don't want to kill you, you'll suffer enough," said Poisudonom as he turned towards Kyujin. "There is nothing anymore you can do… once she rises, it's over for everyone," said Poisudonom.

"Is she one of the 9 Black Defenders too?" asked Liro as he took a small step forward while his whole body shook in fear.

Poisudonom, in answer, shook his head. "No, she isn't. You see… how can I explain to you what this creature really is…" whispered Poisudonom, trying to come up with something.

The humans there watched the Krukin, confused, as he spoke again. "She's simply the representation of our Mother. Every time we enter into a war, there is always someone you need to return to when you get hurt much, and she usually arrives and does everything after us… although we can't get her tired much, she is still someone important to us. We need to prepare the terrain for her," said Poisudonom. The humans remained confused.

"Your mother? Representation of your mother? What does this even mean?" asked Lily, confused. Poisudonom remained silent and decided not to answer.

"You can't know it, it will really be too dangerous for us if you knew it…" said he, looking down, almost feeling sad.

"No… No… how should we win this…" whispered Garoo as he looked at the huge creature that just rose from the sea, completely smashing the harbor part of the city.

"You can't…" said Archilochus. Kyujin immediately moved his muscular arm as hard as he could and swung it towards the tower, completely destroying it.

The tower fell, everything there was immediately destroyed, and the most important part of the city just fell. Everyone could still see it, but the moment they saw the huge creature destroying that, they immediately screamed, scared.

The tower fell down. The debris of the tower was launched away; many furnishings of the tower were flying around. The moment they fell on the debris, they were crushed by other rocks. Many mysteries that had yet to be discovered about Project White Wings were completely gone now, no one would ever have been able to discover them anymore.

"It can't be possible… WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS!!" shouted Garoo with just a little strength remaining in his body.

"He told us to make you suffer… He is the one who controls everyone. It's thanks to him that we are able to win this war… Garoo, that creature isn't your enemy yet…" said Archilochus as he was about to laugh. The moment Garoo turned around, purple water was thrown from the mouth of Archilochus; the jet was extremely fast and it went directly towards Garoo's stomach.

The poor man couldn't defend himself anymore, he didn't have anything left to do. His vision even turned blurry and he was about to pass out. The moment the jet of water touched his stomach… it completely created a hole in his body.

"Puff!" Garoo coughed up some blood before he fell on the ground. Archilochus walked slowly towards him.

"You couldn't have defeated me, Garoo… only if you hadn't played for the town a few hours ago." The moment Garoo fell on the ground, the flute was still next to him, although it was completely destroyed.

Of the flute, just a small part remained, it was exactly next to his hands. "And playing for my town… was the best thing I have ever done…" The moment Garoo grabbed the flute in his hands, he ceased to breathe and died, the last thought on his mind was all the happiness of the people during the festival.

"No… why is that creature there?" Darian was trying to walk towards the city. He saw that huge creature he only saw the first moment he returned to Earth, and now it was there, destroying the tower.

"Shit, I can't fight longer… my body can't hold it anymore," whispered Darian. He felt he could pass out at any moment. He looked at the projection of Snowy's tail coming out of his body.

"At least it helped me remain alive… or else I would have died…" said Darian before he passed out. But he didn't fall on the ground, someone grabbed him.

"You have resisted, Darian. Good job." Darian immediately opened his eyes before passing out, he recognized the voice.

"You've finally arrived…" said Darian as he passed out in these strong and muscular arms. Snowy was launched outside of his body, barely able to move, in fact, the moment he came out, the small creature passed out too.

"We will take care of everything now." The voice speaking was Tauren. He slowly grabbed Snowy and carefully put it next to Darian, both of them lay on the ground unconscious.

"Someone take them!" shouted Tauren. The most brave people rushed closer to him and immediately grabbed Darian's body and brought it somewhere safer.

"MASS BLADE!!" shouted Kael from behind the huge dragon. Suddenly, Archilochus was pushed because of the gravity.

"What? Is it the one who controls gravity?" shouted Archilochus, confused. Kael walked slowly towards him.

"You're going to die… have you got any last words, you creature?" asked Kael. He walked slowly with his hand making the gravity harder for the enemy.

In the square, someone else arrived. "Armor of Repressed Wrath," said a voice. Everyone in the square immediately turned towards it. They saw a boy with short white hair, his shadow rose from his body and immediately covered him.

His shadow became an armor that covered his body. This armor was really dense and it was entirely made of shadow, instead of arms, there were long blades.

"Alterids, I'll take care of this now," said the voice. Poisudonom looked behind and the portal was now closed; he couldn't call for help anymore.

'Damn… I must resist!' The weird shadow immediately rushed towards Poisudonom, and he did the same.
