The moment Archilochus was freed from the spell, he whispered something to the small Krukspy next to him that had just freed him from Garoo's bubble.
The Krukspy nodded and started to rush somewhere. Garoo turned towards him and immediately played his flute. "You can't go away!" he shouted. With the note SOL, he created the bubble that hypnotizes, the Krukin, taken by surprise, was hypnotized.
"He isn't your enemy, Garoo…" whispered Archilochus. He concentrated much of the rain on top of the bubble just to destroy it. The Krukin, snapping back to reality, tried to understand what had happened, the moment he saw Archilochus behind him, he rushed towards the other part of the city, towards the sea.
Archilochus changed the temperature of the water on the spot where Garoo was standing. The water was slowly becoming hotter. The moment Garoo realized the water was becoming hotter, he immediately played his flute again, and with the note MI, he created the grey bubble that absorbed all the magic nearby.
The moment the water was about to touch the ground, it felt like the water was attracted by the bubble.
"You've always been so annoying…" whispered Archie. He shot water out from his hand, but it wasn't normal water, it was becoming more dense, almost slimy.
'I need to create another bubble!' thought Garoo as he dodged the slimy water by moving to the left. With his flute, he created three other bubbles. One was the note TI, another heavy grey bubble appeared, and it was able to absorb all the water thrown by Archilochus.
Garoo created two other bubbles. One was the note RE; this note lets Garoo create a bubble that grabs an object, making it invisible. It grabbed a small rock from a destroyed house. With his other note, TI, he pushed the invisible bubble further towards Archilochus.
Archilochus made the water falling from the sky more dense, but only in the spot where he was fighting. He knew that because he was making the water hotter, some Krukins might not resist the heat, so it was only in a small place near him.
Garoo kept playing his flute as he remained in the middle of the grey bubbles. 'I need to destroy them…' Archilochus noticed that the bubbles were slowly becoming bigger and bigger; it felt like they could barely hold on any longer.
Garoo kept playing his flute. Suddenly, the invisible bubble exploded on top of Archilochus's head. A big rock fell on top of him, making him bleed and almost causing him to lose his balance on the building.
"Damn, so annoying!" shouted Archilochus. Garoo slowly removed the flute from his mouth and started speaking.
"And it isn't nothing yet," said Garoo. While he was playing his flute, he created other invisible bubbles, each of which grabbed other debris. Now there were four invisible bubbles right in front of Archilochus.
Garoo played his flute in a fantastic way. Suddenly, the four invisible bubbles, each on a different side of Garoo, exploded, and the debris they contained was pushed towards him.
The first one rushed towards Archilochus at extreme speed. Not being able to do anything, he could only receive the first hit directly in his stomach. Then the one behind him was launched; it went directly over his legs, making him lose his balance. He was still on top of the building, although he was now lying on the roof.
Another piece of debris appeared, but this one wasn't pushed; this debris was exactly on top of the enemy. It fell at extreme speed right on top of Archilochus. Garoo noticed that around him the two grey bubbles were destroyed because they were loaded too much. While Archilochus was receiving all the attacks, Garoo created two other grey bubbles around himself.
And another rock was launched towards Archilochus; it was coming from the left. On the right of Archilochus was the edge of the building. Thanks to this other bubble, which rushed at extreme speed towards the enemy as it was pushed by two TI bubbles at the same time, Archie was pushed off the building.
The moment he was falling down, Archilochus was able to grab the edge of the building. He didn't fall, but he was able to resist and hold his body. He tried to get up, but it was too late.
"YOU WON'T GO AWAY THIS EASILY!" shouted Garoo. He created the bubble that hypnotizes everyone who watches it. The moment it appeared right on top of Archilochus, he couldn't do anything but be hypnotized.
In the few seconds before he was about to be hypnotized, the water on top of him became slimier than anything. He knew that once the bubble hypnotized him, his hands wouldn't be able to hold him anymore. Thanks to that, the moment he fell, his body was safe as it landed on the slimy water under him.
The moment he fell down, his eyes were no longer locked on the bubble and he was able to free himself again.
"I knew you were going to be a problem, Garoo…" said Archilochus in a threatening way.
"I've always had many suspicions about you, Archilochus. I knew that when you returned, everything was fake!" shouted Garoo. His body had just started to bleed, and the same went for Archilochus.
Still, Garoo was more tired. In fact, before this fight, he had performed right in front of the whole town. 'It doesn't matter… I need to fight back. YALEMBA WILL NOT FALL UNTIL I'M HERE!!' thought Garoo as he remained furious with Archilochus.
"I SHOULD HAVE KILLED YOU EARLIER," shouted Archilochus, trying to scare Garoo, but nothing changed. Garoo remained still with a mad look over his enemy.
"I realized you were going to be a problem… but don't worry, soon everything will be finished," said Archilochus as he looked over the house nearby. Garoo just noticed something: all around the town, almost every house had fallen. Some of them weren't as intact as this other one; this one was still perfect. There wasn't any problem with it; it felt like the water wasn't doing much damage and the Krukins completely ignored it.
"NO! Yalemba will not fall! We will keep fighting! We still have the most important parts of our city… Yalemba will not succumb!" shouted Garoo. Archilochus understood what Garoo was referring to: it was the tree and the old tower, two of the most important symbols of the town.
"Don't worry… it isn't my duty to destroy those things," said Archilochus. Now Garoo gasped in fear. He took a small step back as Archilochus walked toward him. The two grey bubbles around Garoo were destroyed, and incessant hot rain started to fall on top of him.
His long hair was all wet. His body, a few minutes ago, was dying of cold, right now, he was feeling extremely cold. It was almost impossible for a human to resist that.
'I… must… not… fall…' thought Garoo as he created a single grey bubble around him. He wasn't used to fighting this much, in fact, he wasn't used to fighting at all, and Archilochus knew that.
"You know, I must say that you are probably the strongest here in Yalemba when we talk about will," said Archilochus as he stopped. He lengthened his arm towards his enemy, it almost felt like he didn't want to kill him anymore.
Garoo looked at him, confused. He was just about to speak, but then suddenly Archilochus spoke again.
"I'm saying that your will to fight for your town is impressive! Don't you think it is a bit wasted for a city this small?" asked Archilochus as he took more steps forward, still with his hand open.
"What do you mean? ARE YOU CRAZY?" shouted Garoo as he continued to look at him with angry eyes.
"What I'm saying is that… it's because of this town that you aren't strong enough! It's because of this town that you aren't winning this fight! It's because of this fucking town that you will probably die here… but I don't think that is right, especially for someone like you."
Garoo took another step back. To use his magic, he had to play the flute, and there wasn't anything he could do to stop Archilochus in front of him, especially because he was still walking towards him.
"You know, if you join our forces, you won't have any more problems. We are strong; there are many creatures you can train with. You're going to become stronger, Garoo! And with your will to fight, you're going to become a perfect warrior for this war! Our side will become the strongest and we aren't going to have any more problems in this war! What do you say?" said Archilochus as he remained still. Garoo now took a small step in front of him, not scared, but with angry eyes. It felt like he would never accept; it couldn't happen even in a million years.
The rain fell all around the two men, creating a beautiful scene: Archilochus with a fake smile as he tried to persuade Garoo to join his side, and on the other side, Garoo, who was furious. He had never been this mad in his whole life.
"You're crazy to think that I would ever join your side! I was born here in Yalemba. This city has given much to me. I love this city. I don't even care about the others… but if joining your side means fighting against my adorable city… you should go and ask someone else, Archilochus!!" shouted Garoo, mad. Archilochus broke into a loud laugh.
"I knew it was impossible… well then, I've warned you… YOU'RE GOING TO DIE WITH THIS CITY!" shouted Archilochus as he walked back toward the building, the only one that was still standing.
"You said it too… I'm the one with the most will… AND BECAUSE OF THIS, I WILL NOT FALL!"
Garoo immediately returned to playing his flute. He created the bubble that hypnotizes when watched for too long, but after that, other bubbles were created, the ones that make things invisible, and those bubbles could no longer be seen.
"I WON'T LET YOU WIN THIS FIGHT, GAROO!" shouted Archilochus. With his hand, he shot really dense water towards Garoo, who, still playing his flute, simply dodged it by moving around.
Garoo was moving in a perfect way. 'It's all music… even the sound produced by him… LET ME LISTEN TO IT!' thought Garoo. Thanks to his power, he was now listening to the sound of everything around him; if there was space, he might even have been able to dodge the rain.
While he moved around, still playing his flute, the water was about to hit him. The jet of water was so strong that it could have easily created a hole in his body, but now Garoo was hearing the sound of the water rushing towards him. The moment it was about to take him, he created a bubble that pushed him up as he smashed it with his feet.
He created another bubble. This one could be heard in the whole city; even the people who were running away could hear it.
"EVERYONE, DON'T BE SCARED! YALEMBA IS NOT GOING TO FALL… AT LEAST NOT UNTIL I'M HERE TO PROTECT YOU ALL!!" Garoo's voice could be heard through the whole town. Thanks to that, all the people outside the town started to scream Garoo's name.
"GAROO!!"
"GAROO, DEFEND US!!!"
"GAROO, PLEASE DON'T MAKE YALEMBA FALL!!!"
Vane, Lily, Naluri, and Liro were now fighting against Banaikuj; debris had just fallen over Leobruns' body.
"We must not stop, everyone… he's still fighting," said Naluri as she looked around, thinking about Garoo.
"Right… let's keep going!!" shouted Vane as he rushed towards Banaikuj.
Garoo heard the voices of everyone, and because of that, he opened his eyes and started to jump with his arms open.
"The people are giving me strength, Archilochus… YOU'RE GOING TO BE DEFEATED!!" shouted Garoo. Suddenly, in front of Archilochus, around thirty bubbles that hypnotize appeared. Archilochus, before getting hypnotized himself, smirked as some water was coming down the window from the only intact building next to him.
"NOW!!!" Multiple bubbles that could create sound were placed right next to Archilochus. The moment they exploded, they were able to damage him directly, even though it couldn't be seen because he was hypnotized by thirty beautiful bubbles all around him.
Garoo's eyes turned black and his vision was becoming blurry. Soon he wouldn't be able to fight longer; he had to be faster!
He played his instrument. Because the water was too hot, the Krukins couldn't get closer; there were only some parts where the Krukins could move, and they remained there.
Suddenly, on top of Archilochus's head, something big happened. It was the debris of an entire house, but it was covered in one of Garoo's bubbles. "ARGHHH!!!" shouted Garoo. The moment the building fell right on top of Archilochus, he fell to his knees, but the building next to Archilochus was destroyed the exact moment he was about to get hit.
Only a wall was destroyed, the one on the same side as Archilochus, but Garoo didn't notice that. The moment the building fell on top of him, much ash wandered around, meaning that the building had been completely destroyed as it fell right on top of Archilochus.
"I'm sorry… but you lost," said Garoo as he turned around. Suddenly, something was heard from there.
All the water around Garoo was moving towards the same spot where Archilochus had been crushed by the building. All the water around the town was gathering and reaching that same spot.
"I think it's finally starting," said Poisudonom to Leobruns and Banaikuj next to him.
"You've spent more time with him, Poisudonom. Have you ever looked at it?" asked Leobruns, amused. Banaikuj burst into laughter as he looked at the humans in front of him, who were confused.
Poisudonom nodded his head. "Nope… but now we have finished. He will figure it out," said Poisudonom.
Something emerged from the ruins… it was Archilochus.
…but his body was totally different, it was made entirely of purple water!
