When Lucien returned, he shook his head at Enzo, silently telling him that whoever had been making those comments during his speech seemed to have disappeared into thin air, leaving no trace of who they were or where they had gone.
Enzo could not speak for a moment, while Lord Nikolai and Lord Cedric could only turn their attention to the king and wait for an explanation.
Cedric eventually broke the silence, his concern evident as his thoughts immediately returned to Cilia and the growing danger surrounding the capital.
"My king, when are Vealor's soldiers supposed to enter the capital?" Cedric asked. "The capital is becoming more unsafe, and we cannot continue to ignore how vulnerable we have become."
Enzo looked at the two lords, and then remembered that Vealor was not there.
"The soldiers are supposed to be here tomorrow," Enzo answered before turning toward Lucien. "Tell vealor I want to see him in my office."
