"Your Majesty, I do not know what you are talking about," Vealor said, his face becoming expressionless as he stared at the King.
Enzo smiled, but there was nothing warm about it. "You know that is not what I heard. I heard you have been frolicking around and spending late nights with Elara, so tell me, during one of those nights, did she happen to tell you where she went?"
Vealor did not flinch, nor did he allow fear to show on his face. He had spent years as the Lord of the South, and he knew better than to let another man, even the King, see him lose his composure.
"My King, you made her accessible to everyone. Those were your words. You called her a breeder and made it clear that anyone could have access to her, so it is not a crime that I was visiting Elara," Vealor replied calmly.
"I never said it was a crime," Enzo said as he walked toward his chair and sat down, his eyes never leaving Vealor. "I simply want to know where she was."
