Chapter 87 - A Comb That Splits The World

"Figuring out his weakness is the hard part," Zombie said with tired eyes.

"What if we don't have to?" Ronx said, glancing at both of them.

"What do you mean?" Alex asked, raising his eyebrow.

"Is there anyone in the organization who could possibly defeat Tristan?" Ronx asked. "Could Devenier defeat him?"

"Devenier...most likely. However, it's best not to involve him...due to some reasons," Alex said, placing his hand on his chin. "Though, I have someone in mind that could."

"Who?" Zombie asked.

"Keth," Alex said with a slight smirk.

"...Keth?" Ronx and Zombie said at the same time with confused faces.

"You two may already know this but he has hundreds of abilities," Alex said. "One of his abilities can break through any effect...including an illusion."

Ronx's face looked full of hope, same with Zombie. "Great. Where is he...?" Ronx asked, slightly smiling.

"He's currently a priest in a random church," Zombie answered. "I...am not sure he'll help us."

"We have to try," Alex said.

------------------------------

Caspian was looking at himself in the mirror and noticed that some of his hair was white. "What...? When did this happen?" He thought. "Is this because...of the barber? Damn it, I knew he was shady."

Caspian then started leaving the mansion, telling a maid to keep an eye on Rose. And with that, he soon arrived at the shop with an angry face.

"Ah, already here for another haircut?" The barber said with a smile, bowing down.

Caspian ignored his words and simply grabbed him by the collar. "What the hell have you done to my hair? Fix this. Now."

"My, my. How bold," The barber said with a smile, clearly enjoying this. "Let's calm down, no-" before the barber could finish his sentence, Caspian threw him onto the mirror, shattering it instantly. "I knew there was something off about you. Are you some kind of a criminal?"

"How cruel of you to put me in the same category as those type of people," The barber said with a creepy smile. "I...am something much more than that."

Caspian sharpened his eyes and observed the barber shop. "There's no customer here and everything looks new as if it was made not too long ago. This barber is clearly shady...this entire shop probably does illegal stuff. Hm...I have decided," Caspian thought. "This entire place is going down."

Caspian took a deep breath and pointed his arm towards the barber, causing all of the razors, dust and everything else to come together in one single point, condensing and creating a black hole. "Die," Caspian said, unleashing the black hole at the barber. However, surprisingly, the barber split the black hole in two with a simple flying slash using his comb...yes, his comb.

"How...did you...just...?" Caspian said, speechless.

"What's wrong? Did you go easy on me, perhaps?" The barber said with a proud smile, brushing his one stand of hair with the comb.

Caspian took a few deep breaths and calmed down, "no. I am a trained professional. It's always important to stay calm in situations like these," He thought.

"Not to be the bad person here but...you have ruined my barber shop, you know?" The barber said with a mocking tone behind it. "Who's going to pay for the damages?"

"Is anyone other than me in danger?" Caspian asked, his face serious.

"...What? Weird question but I'll answer you," the barber said. "If you volunteer to become a test subject then no one will be danger."

Caspian's eyes widened. "A...test subject? What are you blabbering about?"

"Yes, a test subject for the greater good of humanity, or at least that is what Dr. Gabriel says," The barber said, approaching Caspian and continuing, "So...what is it going to be? You surely wouldn't want...uh, what was her name, again...? Ah, rose. You wouldn't want her to be harmed, right?"

Caspian clenched his fists and said, "Fine."

As soon as the barber heard this, his face formed into a creepy smile, almost like the face of a devil. "Great! I am pleased to hear that we are on the same page!"

The barber approached and said, "Now, you just have to-" but was quickly interrupted. "Just kidding," Caspian said with a serious face, launching another black hole towards the barber.

The barber easily cut the black hole into several pieces using his comb. In fact, he did so easily that one would think that he was cutting a cake. "Was that it?" he said, clearly disappointed.

However, his disappointment would soon fade because he noticed that Caspian was behind him. "Impressive. Using the black hole as a distraction," The barber said, not turning his head or moving since in the next moment, Caspian was slashed from chest to stomach, a deep wound forming and blood spilling instantly.

"What?! I didn't even see him move?!" Caspian thought, the surprising attack causing him to stagger.

"Is there any other move that you want to show me before you die?" The barber said, casually brushing his hair in the middle of a fight. In fact, he wasn't even looking at Caspian. "I am frankly getting quite bored of the black hole."

Caspian coughed up blood and increased the pressure of gravity in the room, causing the mirrors and glass to break instantly. "My, what pressure! What force!" The barber said, who was on his knees due to the strong gravity. "How embarrassed I am! Your power has brought me to my knees!"

"Just kidding," the barber said, slashing Caspian several times in the span of a second, causing Caspian to vomit blood and drop down to his knees. "Who is on his knees, now? hehe."
