Chapter 66 - I am not noble

The sun was rising, but what was heard in an area near the Frost Soldiers' camp was nothing but the sound of swords clashing against each other.

There was a boy drenched in sweat, but he still fended off any attack from the woman who was attacking him.

Who was his teacher and her name was Anna

"Left hand"

Then she directed an attack towards Ryan's left hand, but Ryan blocked it with a counterattack.

The clash of the two swords was so powerful that it would have thrown Ryan away if he had been attacked a week earlier with the same force, but Ryan held his ground and withstood Anna's blows well.

Over the past few days, his skills have improved significantly, although he has been beaten by Anna a lot, he has improved nonetheless.

However, despite that, Anna did not use 10% of her strength, and this was evident to him.

Their training now revolved around quick thinking, with Anna pointing to the part of his body that would be attacked, and he had to deflect the attack and If he was capable of attacking, he could do so.

Of course, in a fight your enemy won't tell you where they're going to target you, but this was a good eye drill as Ryan can now see Anna's sword, not 100%, but he's now able to counter most of her attacks if he has the stamina.

But now he was very tired because they had been doing this for almost two hours without a break.

After blocking Ana's attack again, Ryan decided to attack.

Ryan attacked Anna directly, but this time she didn't block his attack with a counter-attack.

Ryan's eyes widened.

"This."

Anna made his sword slide against hers as if she had absorbed his attack, rendering him weak.

Then she screamed,

"Neck!"

"Damn it."

Ryan was too late because of Anna's block, which meant he couldn't block the attack directed at him.

But he was unharmed; Anna's sword stopped inches from his neck.

Anna smiled.

"You're dead."

Ryan smiled.

"Can't you be a little more lenient with me, Princess?"

Anna frowned, then smacked Ryan on the head.

"You little brat! I told you not to call me that!"

Ryan clutched his head in pain

Ignoring his pain, Anna sat cross-legged on the floor beside him.

"And how can a commoner ask for leniency in training? You'd have to be a nobleman to ask for that."

Ryan frowned slightly.

"It seems wonderful that you're noble."

Anna looked at him in surprise.

"I'm not a noblewoman, you rascal."

Ryan was surprised.

"What? Aren't you Seresa's sister?"

A sad look crossed Anna's face.

"Yes, but I was born out of wedlock, so people despise me."

Ryan looked at her but said nothing.

"Do you see those soldiers who don't disobey my orders? They all do it because my father told them to, but they all talk behind my back."

Then she looked Ryan in the eye.

"So you still want me to be your teacher? Actually, I was only going to train you for this month, but I really enjoyed it."

Ryan shrugged.

"So what if people despise you?"

Ryan sat on the ground too.

"No one can speak in front of your face. That means they're afraid of you. That's why there's no better teacher than you."

Then he smiled.

"And also, I don't care what people say, whether they speak ill of you or well. I only believe what I see."

Then he stood up.

"And also, don't get emotional again. I know there's only a week left before we part ways, but we'll meet again since you're my teacher."

She smiled and stood up and patted Ryan's head.

"Look at you. You can't let me go now."

Ryan pulled her hand away.

"Do you want me to take back what I said?"

She smiled.

"Okay, okay, I've stopped."

Then her face became serious.

"But you have to tell me something."

Ryan realized she was serious, and knew that an unpleasant conversation was about to take place.
