Ryan fell to the ground and dropped his sword.
Sweat dripped from his face and pain throbbed throughout his body.
"Ah, this is hard."
"Get up."
Anna gave him a harsh look.
'Why is she so harsh every time we train?'
It had been a week since they left Terak, and he had been training with Anna every morning, which caused his body to ache every day.
Ryan grasped his sword by the hilt and stood up. After a week of practice, he was gradually getting used to the weight of the sword.
Ryan moved his left foot slightly ahead of his right, then attacked Anna, targeting her neck.
But Anna did not block the attack; instead, she attacked him back with a metal sword, causing two swords to collide forcefully.
This caused Ryan to lose his balance, but nothing happened to me and I remained steady.
When I saw Ryan lose his balance, I yelled,
"Get a grip! Did you hit someone like that and lose your balance?"
Then she attacked him, targeting his right side.
Ryan planted his feet firmly on the ground and held his sword vertically against his right side to deflect her attack.
The two swords clashed again. Ana's blow was stronger than he could withstand, sending him flying several meters before he crashed to the ground.
"Are you stupid? Why are you blocking a strong blow like that? If you don't have the strength to block it, then either dodge it or attack, not prove yourself and block the attack."
"And I also told you to observe all of my body's movements, not just one place."
"You must observe every part of your opponent: his eyes, arms, shoulders, feet, even his breathing. You must observe everything. Now get up."
Ryan grasped his sword again and rose with his help.
"Ah."
Then he looked at Anna and focused his gaze on her.
Then Anna appeared before him so quickly that he could not even get a glimpse of her, and she launched a vertical attack towards him.
Ryan gripped his sword hilt tightly, raising it above his head to deflect the attack.
'No, I won't be able to withstand it if it's as strong as the previous attack.'
Ryan glanced at the approaching attack and waited.
'I must wait until Saif's head is close enough to reach me.'
Anna noticed that Ryan hadn't raised his sword, but that didn't make her hesitate, and she didn't stop her attack.
But just inches before the attack reached Ryan, he shifted his body sideways, causing Anna's attack to hit empty space.
Anna stopped, but Ryan didn't. He raised his sword and attacked her, attempting to stab her in the stomach.
But before the attack could reach her, she repelled it with a counterattack.
The shock of the counterattack made Ryan's hands tremble from its force.
The attack also threw him off balance.
"Okay, let's finish this."
In an instant, Anna appeared behind him and struck his foot, causing him to fall to his knees and drop his sword. He wanted to react, to attack her, but he couldn't.
"Okay, let's wrap things up here for today. Also, do 100 vertical cut by sword strikes before you leave."
Ryan turned to look at her.
"Again."
"Don't complain, practicing this helps you, especially with your balance and accuracy."
Ryan grasped his sword and stood.
"I will. Just go."
Anna turned and started walking.
"Tomorrow at the same time, and let's meet in front of my tent and Don't make me come to you."
Ryan replied coldly,
"Fine."
Then he whispered,
"She only came to wake me up once, and she's making all this fuss about it."
"Did you say something?"
Ryan answered instinctively,
"No."
Then Ryan waved her hand.
"See you tomorrow."
Ryan watched her leave and breathed a sigh of relief.
"Ah, the last time she heard me complaining, she beat me so badly I couldn't even wake up this morning. I've got to hold my mouth."
Ryan planted his foot firmly on the ground, placed his left foot over his right, tightened his grip on the sword's hilt, inhaled deeply, and exhaled.
Then he severed my column with all his might.
"One"
Then he held his position, raised his sword again, and cut another.
"Two."
A few seconds later, he heard:
"Three."
